If he has been following this thread and have read through it he would have seen the following:

a. In the rules on the FIRST page, which he should have read it states:

Players are expected to use COMMON SENSE when playing! This includes not building right next to somebody's building without asking, building something massive and dwarfing someone else's building without asking, generally peeing off other players. If I have to get involved in player disputes, my decision is final and if both players can't use their common sense it's likely that both parties will be suspended!


b. i posted earlier in this thread asking that the surrounding area not be built on, as me and my friends are expecting to expand in this area. while i agree that our first proposed area was a little on the large side, we have agreed that we shall not go too far from it but still would like the area clear around us. lastly, he built in between mine and finals house and also linked a path to randomville without our permission.



if he wanted to build in our area specifically then he just needed to ask and we would have given him some space or an area to build on, in between two established builds isnt really on to be fair and we shouldnt have to sign every empty space between or near to builds :rolleyes:

Yes, but naturally not everyone is going to sit here and read every page, are they? Granted I probably wouldn't have built in that space, as I prefer to be out of the way, where no one else is so that I can expand without having to say 'leave this area free please'.

I can't actually see anything in your picture as it's too dark. Is the building actually huge in the middle? Ugly? Or just plain bonkers? :)

Indeed as I said, I would have, sadly not everyone is on the same mind level all the time :p
 
On a separate note, is there anything I need to install to be inline with the server? Or do I just run the general update on Minecraft and join?

Secondly, I was on an old Whitelist, so if someone can put me on it would be greatly appreciated :)

Game name should be delvis, all lowercase
 
regarding dazman's house, its not a biggy, just it happens to be 3 paces from finalb's house, totally understand if he wants to be neighbour.

If he wants to add his build in or around ours (phozz/DBF/Finalb/jcnovelle) then im sure we can locate him a spot (dependent on how ambitious he is),

Daz, give myself, DBF or Finalb shout in game or on here and we'll work something out (i.e. relocation).

Also if admins want more info on what areas we are using/expanding to etc, let me know and I will post a zoomit to explain...

Please read the first post for instructions on how to get on the whitelist.
 
Just a little note I know at the front of my house looks like a dogs dinner atm, but I shall have that sorted within a couple of days. Building waterfall on the mountain leading to a river that leads to the natural hole in the ground. Also going to build a nice garden ect,ect.

Hello :)

This is kind of my point, we have a nice large map with loads of free space yet he plonks a build right in the middle of ours. I actually would love people to build with us as it will help towards the aim we of a mini city we have. It was just the fact we weren't asked at all.

I do agree with you about the reading of the thread thing, I kind of posted in a rush as I was at work and the boss turned up when I was typing lol.
 
Any news on getting my items back after my invent was mysteriously wiped?

Also, has anyone considered making an official OcUK texture pack so the server can been seen the way it is intended? I ask because I really hate the standard sandstone texture which we have a lot of on our server. So it would be nice to be able to see the spawn area and colosseum with a better looking sandstone texture. I would like to keep things pretty much at stock but change textures for cobblestone, sandstone and other things people want changing. I personally like Misa's as it has a medieval feel about it and makes the world a lot nicer, but there are things I don't like about it such as the netherrack texture. So if you guys are interested I will look into making a custom texture pack that will suit our server. Any thoughts on this or input on what blocks you would like to see change?

Hoping 1.6 fixes this horrible bug I have. Been reading the update list and there is one that sticks out.

* Fixed network packets being sent unbuffered, causing huge amounts of packets being sent

I hope this is the fix. I have reinstalled MC, deleted Java entirely from my PC and installed the latest only. Updated my network card drivers and router drivers and it is still borked. :(

I have no idea how it started but it did last week.
