Yeah..I could do that but it would require a bit of work to move things over and properly secure everything. At the moment it's only me and Link to Insanity with that kind of access and we both know what we're doing (mostly :p) so there isn't much danger of someone accidentally deleting something they shouldn't or starting up multiple server instances by mistake and killing all the ram on the server.

I'm planning on making a little tool that would allow server admins to issue the kill -9 pid command without needing to ssh in. I just need to get some time spare.
 
Server restarted:

* Regular restarts every 6 hours
* Updated to the latest Bukkit
* Additional RAM assigned to the MC server

Hopefully this will reduce/resolve the issues we've had.

What do you and link work as? i'm guessing IT sector then?

Never thought of link as someone who knew what he was doing....... :p :D

Not sure what Link works as these days tbh.

I work in elearning for my main job and do a bit of freelance in web/server apps. Super boring stuff :)

edit: oddly toolblock works in the nether but tool doesnt..

edit2: r/click tool doesnt show who accessed chests etc

Hmm, you can get toolblock to actually place the block in certain circumstances. Obviously it would be logged so people can't grief as such... but it's up to you if you want it to stay.
 
The insta-vanishing blocks on r/click bug is still there, so it must be part of 1.6.6.

Although I can't see it on the bug list..

If you play for long enough you'll get it, as does everyone else. You'll suddenly right click something and the block vanishes and every other block does too. Relog and all the blocks are back and the bugs gone.
