Who on earth would want to use kinect with minecraft. Walking on the spot and waving your arm as a pick sounds about as much fun a punch in the face.

Not to mention how you'd get the precise control when walking near lava / aiming to place blocks carefully...
 
We already lost "pistons in 1.6" due to android. Who knows what else won't be in the game because they didn't have time. Less testing/bug fixing.

Hate to sound negative, but I see a good game going down the pan before it's even released.
 
I'm kind of with tostring (for once) I think Minecraft is progressing, but the pace has slowed and it tastes stale to me personally.

I hope that the next couple of patches come in quite quick succession and are all fairly big. Would like them to add something like randomly generated ruins, a few more mobs and some more techny things to create.

I know your build was badly damaged by the fire spread. I popped along during the early hours this am to see if I could sort anything out for you. Bad news was that the lb commands weren't quite working for me so I coundn't rollback the fire damage .. or the creeper damage that went tssss-boom when I arrived :(.

On the other hand, I thought I would have a go at rebuilding the place for you. I used a little artistic license here & there. Hopefully you will like the repair job.

Overview
  • Added platforms on the LHS & RHS wings of the build at ground level.
  • Extended LHS roof out & ensured a window was still present
  • Created a slabbed perimeter around the build

  • Identical layout to the LHS; excluding roof support posts ofc

  • Stone perimeter extended around entrance
  • Added light source

  • Replaced some of the horrid dirt with brick; mainly where the glass is so it looks pretty when outside looking in
  • Replaced the flooring
  • Placed torches

  • Put a staircase back in
  • Replaced flooring
  • Replaced walls
  • Replaced missing torches

  • Reconstructed the fireplace to ensure fire spread shouldn't happen again

I tried my best to keep with the current theme of the build, but it's been a while since I visited. I was going to extend out the rear roof part to match the LHS but thought I would hold off until you have had chance to view it. Ofc if you want to change anything go ahead it's your build after all :p.

EDIT:
Doh, it would help if I had known the syntax had changed for lb :p. Still I had fun on the repair job none the less.

bloody hell if you had to mime a pick axe to dig, by the end of most builds you'd look like

I appear to be missing 26 x glowstone dust :( can't work out where it went, sure i put it in a chest but it's not there any more!
