It looks like the last two lot of 6's at the top meet, so giving a line of 12. Should the bottom set of two blocks touch, at your level of 7 above sea, giving a line of 4? If those numbers are right it might help with laying out some markers along the floor.

Also what's the deal with the torches at the moment? Are the just temporary for now? Not going to slap them down too randomly but inside the bridge there seem to be 6 blocks between each one, on the top of the bridge they seem a bit more random. Only counted between a few of the last ones and the seem to be anywhere from 10 to 13 blocks apart.

I've added some to it already tonight, just on here while the server restarts but not found a rhythm yet so finding it slow going at the mo. :/

edit: well didn't get as much done as I planned, found the arch slow going. but managed to get a bit done. Looks like you have been leaving 5 blocks between the bottom of the arches, so I finished off half of one that was there are and put the beginnings of the next one. Think it is ok but was getting dark in game and I need to go to bed now. Any way have a look and let me know if ok or not. Left some cobble for you as well.

The torches are abit random, that'll have to be fixed.

Probably going to have to build some large meaty tower at the end of the bridge with seperating lanes that go down to the ground in some way because it appears there is no mountain range

It is a damn long way as well!

While making my lava tunnel in my mine - It's burn't down the wooden parts of my mine twice now...

You'll need to sign up on www.linktart.co.uk forums, get someone already on the server to vouch for you and add yourself to the minecraft group on Linktart unless you've already done that.

A nice Admin might add you if you have nobody to vouch though as you've been an OCUK member for a while though, the admins do have their occassional nice day

This is all in the first post on this thread - which you should read for the server rules.

It sounds like a faff (because it is!) but it does mean there's far less player griefing on the server, so what you build is generally very safe and naughty folks get banned quickly

My lava tunnel was protected by one block of fire-proof material - but it still broke through and burnt down my wooden mine

If I changed the "fireproof" material to obelisk - Would this stop the fires?

Thanks. I've registered on linktart, couldn't get it to accept the underscore in my username for some reason (i see others with _ in their names on the whitelist?) so I'm on there as dbrennen. Hopefully a mod sees it as I'm not really friendly with anyone who plays yet

We used to have an anti-fire spreading mod but it was removed - in this update of Minecraft fire spreading was altered.

But yeah it does spread slightly more now.

Yes there is. It's great fun but multiplayer maps are even better

Cool, I will probably sign up for the OCUK MP but for now i want to have a little go on my own to check out crafting and building.

I'd suggest reading the minecraft wiki as well for some info anyway...if anything the crafting page to get you started: http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Crafting

Well I wanted to get back into playing minecraft again after being very busy with corsework (although I still am quite busy) and found my game had huge stuttering problems. After playing around a bit it seems that whenever I maximise the client it stutters to the point it is unplayable, if I go back to a small window it seems to run fine again. I tried pressing F11 for fullscreen but that just flickers fullscreen for a second then back to windowed.

Does anyone know if this is a known issue and of any potential fixues? both my minecraft and java are up to date.

well...to be honest no...Just find a hill and make a hole and block off the entrance for the first night as it soon comes around...When daylight hits carry on and rinse and repeat for a while or build a house asap

Try and set your Minecraft username again please
