OcUK Minecraft Server - Rules & Chat

Often what happens with this is that you spawn about half a block lower than you should do - hence you suffocating and sometimes finding things beneath you if you dig down.

found my stuff about 20 blocks down in a small hole the rock, so I had literally to dig it back out!

I did have a quick look but I'm sure I left it too late :(

Sucks - I must have had an inventory full of items!

I lost about 300 iron with that death when I first moved house mate, it's a bit of a pain. Just had to take the hit though - this is partly why I've been using stone tools mostly since unless I really need an iron pick!

Ahh dude I'd go crazy if I lost that much! :p

By the way - I had a quick look and can't find the mountain you're talking about with the lava at the base - Any more suggestions where I can find it? I used a compass and walked North from the door of your home

Just added over 1000 blocks to it. I still have about 2 double chests worth of cobble to use, so I can do some more this evening aswell. How far is this bridge going?

Thanks.

The bridge is going untill it hits a mountain range and I believe there is one somewhere in the distance.

I've made some changed to it, from there onwards it wants to have 1 column and 7 spaces between each as I've done, and it will all have to be glassed eventually.

I'm finding creating the supports really tricky, if you look the current ones are not all the same height so looks abit iffy.

I think I'm going to have to create a 1x1 block bridge of mud at the level the supports want to go.

They need to be 7 blocks from sea level starting.

The supports consist of 6x 2, 3x3, 4x4, 2x5 and 2x6, so all 2 blocks high then 2 in length, 3, 4, 5 and 6 etc...

Is there a map of the island anywhere?

Edit - actually ignore the above. it just dawned on me that a.map would ruin things!

There is a cartography, usually updated today/tomorrow-ish and FT is looking at a proper map "looking down" as the carto is isometric. FTs map he's considering it updated fairly quickly too, which could be interesting!

If Carto is updated some will post a link, go have a look for posts with "carto" on them earlier in the thread.

WOW! i found a pig riding the rollercoaster!

Loads of people over the few weeks, just has been getting worse and worse. Started off as layers of sand, then got picked at down to the stone.

As you can see it's all over that area.

That area really needs someone to build on it to stop all that.............and whoevers house that is needs to replace their cobble with something more appealing :p

Ok, lb didn't show for me who caused the mess. However to those that did take sand, count yourself bloody lucky.

To take sand which is 1) so close to spawn 2) so close to other builds .. you have to be some special kind of moron.

Take this as a warning to all. The next moron to take sand from there will face a 3 day ban .. no questions, no 'but I didn't realise'. Open your eyes .. look around you & don't take the sand. It's not too complicated to fathom.

I also repaired under the pokéballs, so that is all nice and sandy now too.

EDIT: I've placed a few more torches. Tostring or anyone in that area if at night you can check if there are any more needed that would be great.

I can safely say I only remember taking off a layer of sand. ;)

Also, who has been fiddling with my tribute again? Sign missing a tree planted on top. Replace the sign and I will be happy. :)

Well in future make sure you take 0 from that area.

If everyone has the mentality of I'll just take one layer, it'll be ok. We soon end up in the situation we've just had where an area gets stripped.

If people want sand, go to the unstable land. That area is designed to be stripped of resources. It doesn't matter how ugly the area gets as it can be regenerated. Make use of it! After all it's better to /home FT than get yourself facing a temp ban (or worse).
