It's my house - not just built for the wedding of the century :P And I did it myself and took 2-3 weeks!

Warning: Server Downtime 28th July

On the 28th of July I will be upgrading the server hardware. This will involve a change of IP address (those connecting using linktart.co.uk should be unaffected) and at least 6 hours of downtime - possibly more.

The server upgrade will triple the server RAM from 8GB to 24GB. This will allow me to run more server mods and to dedicate more RAM to the Minecraft server, meaning less crashes and less lag for everyone.

Sorry about the downtime but I hope you'll all agree that the benefit to the server should be worth it.

In the meantime, if anyone feels like donating to help the cost of this move, feel free :p
 
The server is hosted with Kimsufi - I'll be moving from one of the old hosting packages to one of the new ones (the top end KS range package - actually a tiny bit cheaper than my current one for more powerful hardware).

I'm not sure exactly what time I'll take things offline yet. It will most likely be either late on the 27th or late on the 28th though. It kind of depends on how long they take to set up the new server and how long I take to get it into a state where I can move things across. In the worst case scenario we may be looking at almost 24 hours downtime whilst I move things across.
 
Managed to work out how to do what I wanted, simpler than I imagined... (as ive been trying to do it for ages :P)
