I've restarted my client (on my home pc).

The server is still running though and people are still logged in. Just keep retrying to connect - stupid minecraft.net problems :/

Yeah. I think perhaps we've pushed it to the limit.

I may reboot it..though that will obviously kick everyone.

In other news, I'm almost certainly upgrading the LinkTart dedi next week...so the server will have a better cpu and double the ram.

It is worth thinking though that the main minecraft server we use was also insanely laggy, close to unplayable at times, when we first switched to the new map because everyone was exploring and loading new areas. Once the game world was generated then much of the lag was gone. So under standard use this server may be perfectly fine.

Yeah. I think the whole creation of the world stuff isn't helping. Plus the massive chains of TNT then destroying tons of blocks at once

Okay. It's not letting me reconnect after about 30 minutes of retrying. I'm going to take a break for a bit

If people want me to I can restart the MC server - I'll keep an eye on the forums. Alternatively I'll let people use up the rest of the TNT and get bored
