OcUK Photo Comp - Season Five : Round Two - "Religion" Discussion

My original idea was possibly too controversial as it involved religion, terrorism and various things. Plus I simply couldn't work out to pull it off.

Well im bummed off. my idea I cant do due to lack of space. It was going to be a photograph of neatly backdropped wall with my print of the Mona Lisa mounted onto the wall with myself and a girl stood holding hands (me looking at the entire wall/print with the girl slightly stood forward with a small maglite shon onto the painting revealing the illuminated purple text "so dark the con of man"

The lack of space hasnt allowed for me to photograph this shot which is a real shame as I had such high hopes for it. Idea came from Dan Brown's "The Da Vinci Code"

My orignal idea was similar. I was going to have religious symbols from feuding religions on a chain dangling over a bowl of milk with some red coluring in there to portray blood from coming the symbols. Didn't have time and couldnt find the symbols i needed.
 
Posted my last minute pointscraper!! Would someone be kind enough to check it is showing up as i've been having problems with my webspace all day!!

Roll on the next round :)
 
wunkley and southy1978 its one single colour border only I'm afraid. Only just noticed them but there's still 20min left to change them if your online.
 
dammit dammit I said I wouldnt enter a pointscraper this round but I've fallen for it again and changed it a zillion times in like 10 minutes arrrggh WHY DON'T I JUST PLAN THINGS!!
 
Wow, that was a bit of a rush at the last minute! Last time I looked, Friday I think, there was only around 25 entries!!

My personal favourite is Ranarama's. Good luck to all though! :)

Cheers guys! Just had the phone call to say the money has all gone through so we're now the proud owners of a huge debt! Can't believe I'm excited by that thought LOL!

Yep still local, still Wickford - I'm moving about a mile up the road. :)

Have got a while till I can get the keys so I'll sort out the entries and send them on to the other judges. Hopefully I'll even start some marking!

Don't think of it as debt, think sensibly as an investment and think not quite as sensibly as an opportunity to remortgage to buy a 1DSMKII and a whole rack of L series lenses!! :)
 
HMMMM this is a tough round, i dont think Petes shot says Religion, its a good shot and all, but doesnt immediately say religion, sleepyD has a good entry though, might do very well

I think if you look at it it says protesting or something. But if you think "Religion" then you read "End the violence" and like someone said the guy is looking at the church then you probably get the meaning in the shot. Religion has always been used as an excuse to kill. My god > your god :)
 
A toughie...

I plumped with a stereotypical church shot!
The church itself had actually pretty much totally colapsed ~ it was just three very crumbly walls with some remnants of windows and the such. I don't feel that I focused on that nearly enough... But I was in somewhat of a rush when taking the shot.

Ho hum, you live and learn!
