OcUK Powerlifting Totals

Let's not turn this into a witch hunt or take this thread OT. SK07 has made some big claims but I'm sure he'll prove it to us at some point. This thread is not where it will be discussed. End of. Do not make me moderate this thread please.

/mod mode off.

Some really good weights here. It's amazing how some people are very strong at some exercises and not at others. A couple of guys are very well rounded though. If I can get a bigger weight on chest - say around 140 (I'm sure I could probably do it if I tried... maybe? :o :p) Then i'd be happier with my performance, squats and deadlift have never been too difficult for me.

Bench - 50kg x8 :o (only been doing it for a few weeks).
Squat - 80kg x 6
DL - 110kg x 2

Bodyweight - ~11st/70kg
BF - 14% guesstimate.

Oh you guys want height aswell - 5ft 9

I'm not going to post past lifts I'm going to post current lifts. As of a couple weeks ago.

Squat: 160KG
Deadlift: 160KG
Bench: 136KG
Bicep Curl: 14 million KG

Total: 456KG

BW: 80KG

5'9" 22 yrs, Bodybuilding, adding mass.

Totals are worked out from repped sets, because training in terms of bodybuilding I don't need to max.

Some great lifts on here.

Impressive m8.

Damn, there are some strong benchers on here. All except two of us are putting up over 100kg. I'm working on getting there though. If I could get my squat up to 140kg and the deadlift up to 160kg my total would be more respectable.

What do people think is a fair thing to do when people are quoting 3 and 5 rep maxes? I put Pigeon_Killer's 3-rep and 5-rep maxes in as one rep which he may not appreciate, I could extrapolate and base a higher one rep max on those lifts (as he says, a bench of 140kg x 3 would probably equate to a 150kg max), but then $loth has posted an 8-rep max- he may be able to bench 70, but it could be only 60.

What would be the best way of dealing with these figures? Besides instructing you all to have a max effort day ;)

% are your friend. I wouldn't worry too much though, if people are happy posting 3 rep totals that's just fine. I don't think they mind at all as it's not a competition I just think it will be a fantastic point of reference for all.

^^ Not a problem mate. I think it's probably best to just list whatever weights people give regardless of reps. Could add a + next to the total to indicate it's more than the listed weight.

I'll have a go at a few max lifts once I've finished my next 5x5 cycle. Will hopefully get around a 620kg total.

Should make sure we are talking full-depth squats, listing any equipment as well.

BW: 78kg
Bench: 115kg
Squat: 130kg
Deadlift: 182.5kg

No equipment or belt.

My squat is crap but that will change soon, going for a 140 squat and 185kg dl next week.
