Well yesterday was the first time benching 100kg in nearly 2 years since buggering up my shoulder (and since dropping over 3 stone). Been back benching for 5-6 months but been taking it SLOWLY. Managed a comfortable 8 reps. Onwards and upwards

Been getting my core lifts up to scratch these past months as I've had a training partner for the first time so I'd like to enter this to keep my motivation up and track progress :)

Bench: 95Kg, Squat: 80Kg and managed Deadlift: 120Kg for 6 reps today :)

I don't do 1RM, always hit at least 5-6 reps on my working set if I'm pushing a new best.

You lot know my troubles putting on weight, I'm still sitting at 11.5 stone. So, 73Kg.

:)

Edit: I know my squat is pathetic, still having troubles with neck pains due to the bar and always opt for leg press.

Haven't been into lifting properly in a while, but started doing some in october (unplanned and carelessly), started with high volume barbell complexes at the start on the year and moved onto strong lifts 5x5 at the beginning of this month. At the moment my lifts are: Squat - 82.5kgx4, Deadlift - 105kgx3 and DB bench - 22.5kgsx5. Hoping to squat 100kg by the end of this term and 120kg Deadlift, no idea with DB bench but would like 27.5kg. Currently weigh 70kgs.

Awesome work fella!!

Cheers man - been ages since i got a PB due to injury - hopfully all my recovery work and 70-80% rep work is about to pay off!

Im expecting my dead to jump up - got a 260 18" 2 weeks ago... :) :) problem is the bottom of the dead is where my injury is most noticable but fingers crossed :)

Decided I'd have a stab at a new bench PB today before my cardio as I felt very strong (for me) at the end of the 6 week cycle. Currently on my decondtioning week from HST.

Joint mobilisation & RC warm up
OHP: 40KG x 8

Bench:
60KG x 9
80KG x 2
110KG x 1
120KG x 1
130KG x 1
132.5KG x 1, sort of. I'm discounting this as my spot said that he had literally just laid his fingers under the bar as I began to stall, I didn't feel him spot me and I did shout not to. I then battled it for a further 10 seconds and completed the rep. However I don't feel I accomplished it or that it was a smooth rep.

Warm Down: 100KG x 5

30 minutes SS cardio.

So that's 5KG on my previous of 125KG :)

Not a bad improvement in 6 weeks as I don't think I'd of gotten 120KG out if I hadn't have done HST.

3 plates aside will be mine before this year is out! FF could you update my totals please :) Current bodyweight 88KG.

Nice one Benny! Are you doing another cycle of HST or moving onto something else? I'm just coming to the end of the 15s.

Decided to squeeze some normal deadlifts into the workout last night and managed 210kg with straps. It went up easier than I thought so I probably could've managed 215 but I got a massive headache after and had to carry on with the rest of the workout.

EDIT: Just did some cheeky flat bench for the first time in about a year, only a 10kg increase but better than nothing! Can you update me please FF :)

Mansize_tissue -------- 110 / 140 / 210(S) ------ [74] ---- 460

Good work both of you :D

MT - heavy deads are the only exercise that really strains my head, gives me a cracking headache lol. Small rest and plenty of water normally helps :)

Cheers :)

Will be doing the second cycle of HST shortly :)

What did you make of the 15's. The workouts are much more enjoyable now you've finished the 15's and you strength and endurance/recovery will shoot up for the 10's and 5's.

Nice work on the bench Benny!

Slightly envious here, that's where I was hoping mine to have gotten to. Taking a different approach to shoulder rehab now though so hopefully it won't be too long now.

Thanks, it won't take you long to get the strength up on HST.

Considering I've had a week off and just done 4/5 sessions of cardio my strength was still good!

I did have a second stab at 132.5KG but I gave out on the last inch of the lowering phase. Well and truely spent!

Cheers Morba, I've lost count the number of times I've almost passed out after heavy deads!

Cheers :)

I actually quite like the 15s, they make a nice change to 5x5 approach I'm used to. Squats and SLDLs, though very tiring in this rep range, seem to be reaping the rewards. Plus using relatively low weights I've managed to get my form spot on for the SLDLs which I wasn't really happy with before.

Are you going to make any changes to the routine this time round? Perhaps this would be better asked in your HST thread...
