Actually that's wrong, my deadlift has been at 200kg for a good while now mate, along with a new squat of 170 I squeezed out.

You've just missed my post a few times haha.

Also add an 80kg Press please.

N19h7m4r3 -------- 100 / 170* / 200 -------- [70] ---- 470

Sorry dude updated! Serves me right for being off line for so long!

Sorry babe x

No problem.

I've stalled lately because i pulled a tendon in the back of my right knee anyway.

Hoping to get back to stuff at a gradual pace now.

I've got no problem with 50-60% of my maxes at the moment so I'm happy.

Monday I was pushing out 100kg deadlifts with no problem, and Tuesday 70kg presses for reps.

Today I was back at squats and 90kg reps didn't even add a niggle to my knee and tendon, same for 100kg Stiff legged deadlifts.

Only problems I had was on the Hamstring curl machine and ab wheel rollouts, they hurt a bit so had to stop instantly.

Mr.Physio says apart from those I'm making amazing progress for only being off training for 2 weeks since injury.

I'm going to start back on Barbell benchpress tomorrow as well.

My goal for this year is to break the 500kg limit.

Since I never got proper treatment for the tendon I tore in my right elbow it might pose a problem, but screw it. I can do this!

Damn you N19h7m4r3, that squat update knocked me back out of the top 20!!

I'll have you on my next go at 1rms, I'm going for 500gk in just over a month hopefully :) going to be tough :p

In a month? Best of luck mate.

Thanks to my habit of getting injured on pathetically low weight it's going to take me a while to get back to where I was.

I would have been over those maxes by now, specially the deadlift if I didn't go the mess up another tendon.

Also I haven't used a belt yet. Hehe, who knows maybe it ups my maxes even more.

Oh yes, I finally to my Belt from Pullum-Sports, it arrived this morning at my folks place.
So it took 3.5weeks since I ordered it for them to make and ship it.

Looks pretty epic, what makes it worth 60 notes?

I sure hope it's because of good quality. It only arrived at my folks this morning.
It's also cheaper the ordering a belt from the states, thanks to Ireland's retarded import tax, vat and extra charges.

So I'll get it when they visit on the weekend, and start using it the Monday. Have to break it in, so might aswell do that the same time as sorting out my injury.

^ the expensive one is a "proper" powerlifting belt, your one isn't. The difference is that the extra stiffness gives extra support, it will also shape itself to your body slightly, so don't lend it to other people as casually. I've used both types and there is certainly a difference at higher weights (>200kg squats), but probably not a concern for people who don't train that heavy all the time or who aren't going to compete.

I do believe a contribution from me is long over due!

as with last time 7 days after finishing my 5's of HST and having done a week of cardio I had a stab at a few RM's today. Been on lower carbs most of the week but ate a mound of couscous the size of my head last night. I had strained my shoulder throwing american football last weekend but it was about 98% today after some RC & stabilisation work throughout the week.

My squat lately whilst I've been pushing decent numbers hasn't felt particularly comfortable or natural, I find front squatting fantastic but back squatting a little unnatural. Never used to so I will be addressing this.

My previous 1RM stood at 170KG on a smith back at uni which was actually for a friends dissertation analysis (was wired up with electrodes on my quads & hamstrings). I'd only ever done 160KG x 2.

Today:

60KG x 10
80KG x 2
100KG x 1
120KG x 1
140KG x 1
170KG x 1 (freeweight PB, went quite nicely)
175KG x 1 PB. This was much deeper than I thought It was! would have liked a bit more of control, however there was no bounce. There was a stall for about 2 seconds at about 30degrees above parralell however once past it shot up :)

Pretty sure I was leaning far to far forward which caused the stall and is likely the cause of a hip niggle I've been having.

Bench as of my last cycle of HST was up 5KG to 130KG. As of this today:

OHP: bar x 10
40KG x 6
Bench:
60KG x 8
80KG x 2
100KG x 1
135KG x 1 PB. (A bit of a stall where the triceps come in to the lift for about 3 seconds, but squirmed my way through).

Looking forward to smashing a deadlift PB in the next few months. I had 210 of the floor last year but the previous PB of 205 had taken it out of me and I haven't tried since. :)

As they stand:

BennyC -------- 135 / 175 / 205+(S) -------- [89] ---- 515

¬_¬ I see what you did there.

If not for your bench you're only +5kg over me.

Like I said I'm coming for you Benny!

Ooh, on a brilliant note, I finally started benching again since my old arm injury seems to be a thing of the past.

I use to get terrible pains in the old right elbow on anything over 40kg for aages.

Decided to try bench again instead of dumbbells and BAM!
Went from
40kg x10
60kg x5 x3
70kg x5 x3
80kg x6 x3
My spotter didn't even touch the bar once.
Finished off with loads on incline dumbbell presses aswell.
About 6 sets of DB presses.

I'm well chuffed.

So watch out Benny, I'll be catching up on the bench as well now!
