4/5 Months from now? Good Grief.... 2023 is nearing its end at that point, Navi 33 in January 2024?My money is on August-ish.
A month either side is viable imo.4/5 Months from now? Good Grief.... 2023 is nearing its end at that point, Navi 33 in January 2024?

Yup, takes 9 months-ish for a re-spin iirc. Anything upto a year.That is 8 months after Navi 31 release.
They don't need to. If a 6800xt already beats a 4070 in some cases then no need to go all out with more power than needed. Navi 32 looks sweet IF they give it 16GB.or just rename the 7900XT to 7800XT, charge a lot less (£650?), accept you can't maintain that lvl of margin and sell through more.

Nvidia will have an RTX 5000 ADA refresh before AMD and done releasing Navi 3
But those re-spin rumours were that they had issues already way before release and had already started on fixing it. So if they started earlier/pre-Navi31 release, it should be hrere "real soon now"...Yup, takes 9 months-ish for a re-spin iirc. Anything upto a year.
Any reason OCUK have raised prices on the 7900xt sapphire mba? I was just about to pull the trigger at £779or just rename the 7900XT to 7800XT, charge a lot less (£650?), accept you can't maintain that lvl of margin and sell through more.
Raised almost a week ago bro, you're out of the loop.Any reason OCUK have raised prices on the 7900xt sapphire mba? I was just about to pull the trigger at £779

That was over a week ago and was negative margin, we cleared enough stock, now were making money again can't afford to be selling at a loss too many units.
When a deal looks good, get it purchased.

I remember you saying on forum that you had a couple of thousand incoming during the launch window, must have sold a fair few to get them down to a manageable level m8!!!That was over a week ago and was negative margin, we cleared enough stock, now were making money again can't afford to be selling at a loss too many units.

I see, so it never actually dropped to $799, at least not from AMD's side.

7900's in general are fabulous sellers for us, sold a few thousand now.
Nope OcUK was cheapest at £799 let alone £779, were just actively been the best in the market, unfortunately £779 is not sustainable and £799 is break even neither of which we need to do any more as stock has been reduced.

RDNA3 no doubt been a massive learning-curve for AMD.
