OcUK RX5800X3D review thread

Keen to see how the 5800XD compares with my 3700X, especially at 1440p - that video above suggests there's more of a difference than I was expecting.

The difference Ryzen 5000 vs 3000 in gaming where the GPU isn't the bottleneck is already substantial, the highest i have seen it is 46%, you can add another 15%+ on top of that, that is if your CPU is a bottleneck to the GPU.

Ta, not exactly in a rush but wouldn't say no to one of these or 5900/5950 if I found a good deal.

Been mulling over getting one but I don't think it would be a big enough uplift (for the games I play) over my 5600X to warrant the outlay along with the draining of my custom loop. Think I'll hang of for the next gen of AMD CPUs.

Too much effort, you're already on ryzen 5000 anyway

Ordered one, should be a smallish upgrade over my 2200G. Just need to wait for MSI to sort out a BIOS but I had a feeling it would sell fast and I can see it being relatively low volume after the initial batch so didn't want to miss out.

Depends on numbers, If they had only 10 I'd agree. If they had 10000 I would say they have probably sold way better than Gibbo expected.

I think he said they'd sold about 100 in 10 minutes, they didn't seem to be available for much longer. Sounds like only in the 100's at best.

Hundreds at one store, second batch arrived today, add the other 3 or 4 stores is still thousands updating a CPU on release in one country which considering the current climate, the high cost (I feel they are overpriced by about £30 or so) and the relatively limited market (mostly people upgrading gaming specific rigs from 1st to 3rd gen Ryzen) that reasonably solid numbers.
