OcUK RX7900 series review thread

I woudn't... 7900xtx was near to spanking the 4090 on somethings and has displayport2.1 making it already more of a future proof purchase for future display...... 4090 is just an overpriced brick for enthusiasts with more money to throw out then sense.... maybe next team green bank will have something out that is actually worth over £1500
Honestly I'm not super worried about the DisplayPort 2.1 issue. My monitor is only DisplayPort 1.4a so I don't see me needing anything higher for a while. By the time displays are using DisplayPort 2.1 I'm not sure this card will be able to do 240 fps at 4K anyway.

I'm probably going to go with a 4090 because there's no stock of the AMD cards.

The point is its a pretty high priced card that I'd want to be using for a few years as my main... without DP2.1 I'm compromised on any new 4k high refresh rate display upgrade... it's one of the biggest reasons I have for ignoring the 4090 with its absurd price.

7900xtx may still be an upgrade I look at in the future if AMD fix power consumption on idle and driver/bugs etc... looks like they don't even have the stock even if people would pay these over inflated prices.

Ao I will just wait.. in no rush to fund this madness.

My 4K 144Hz monitor will probably last me longer than this generation of GPU, based on how long monitors usually last me.

+150w for 8% doesnt do a lot for me, running cooler and quieter tho :)

I don't think G3D undervolt because TPU got different results.

Not quite as good as the TUF but that could just be your usual chip to chip variance.

Oof, that power limit. I got 16-18% performance improvement out of the MBA card limited to 335W.

I'd like to think I can get 25%+ out of this one. It's on my radar, nice price please @Gibbo when available. :)

@CAT-THE-FIFTH Another one for the list. It is their creator review. Strong showing by RDNA 3 handily winning in some software.
