just nothing on when it will be fixed.. tbh I'm astonished such a thing slipped, reading other boards seems AMD have had this problem for a while.... something they need to sort out, otherwise it just makes the nvidia cards look better on overall idle power consumption.

Interesting that TPU's review of the ASUS OC and XFX Merc models has them both OCing over 3GHz and essentially bridging the gap between the 4080 and 4090 at least in Cyberpunk 2077. https://www.techpowerup.com/review/asus-radeon-rx-7900-xtx-tuf-oc/39.html

Seems like 3Ghz+ is real after all, as long as you pump it with some power.

That actually is interesting, if AIBs can squeeze much better performance out then they may justify their inevitable price hikes…. To some extent anyway!

What does that make the 7900.
The near full-fat to chip for £1000 and a slightly cut-down top chip for £899. But performance wise, 7900 slots in almost exactly in the pricing model that nV set when considering RT performance.

That is impressive. A >11% real FPS gain in CP for the ASUS TUF 7900xtx when overclocked to 3.1Ghz, within spitting distance of 4090 (RT off, of course)

Edit: Worth mentioning, looking at the reviews where they overclocked, the reference card seems it tops out around 2.9Ghz, so still not too shabby. As usual, the AIBs go that extra distance ~4-5%
