OCUK Sandy Bridge, SB-E and Ivy Bridge 5GHZ Club

Bought a Asus Maximus from oc today and the results are amazing! 5Ghz Cas 6 2232Mhz

Amazing Cas6 2232Mhz 6-10-6-27 1T 1.7v

Trying to find limit but this memory just keeps amazing me on this board!

Bro306, where can I get a black/red CPUz? looks awesome lol

:D:D Never going to happen with my CPU. Have hit a wall at 5.724 rock solid benchable 3Dmark06 and anything else I can throw at it but not one MHz higher.

Shame, not a MASSIVE shame as that's a seriously immense overclock... but still would've been amazing to see a retail CPU hit 6.0! Have to buy some more and see if you can milk a few more out of em ;)

Water blocks are listed under chips set. So for a SB you can use the 1156 socket and P55 chipset blocks they are the same. Most water cooling blocks will come with both X58 and P55/67 fittings.

5.0Ghz Hit

Another Corsair Hydro User reaches the milestone!
Next up: Massaging the RAM... keeping pushing P67 -- just avoiding those Intel SATA ports:eek:(!) lets hope ASUS do not curtail BIOS development due to the recall...

Your screen shot does not show the Turbo speed, you have grabbed it while its at 1600Mhz :( so there is no evidence of the 5GHz

Can you redo the super-pi and grab the cpu-z while its at 5GHz pls?

Another one for the list!
Here's my attempt on the MSI P67a-GD65.
Core Voltage (BIOS): 1.340V

Might see if I can get it a little higher at some point with a better SuperPi score seeing as my voltage was pretty damn low.

What are people getting stable? I'm sat at 4.8GHz Prime stable.

They're running the old version of CPUZ that shows incorrect vcore :p
Should be 1.56.2 for SB
Hmmm, where can I get 1.56.2 64-bit from then? Had a google of it but seems pretty in-comprehensive and the CPUID website still downloads 1.56 for me.
Thought the voltages were odd, as I say it was set to 3.40V Core Voltage in BIOS and BIOS voltage read-outs are always lower than what CPU-Z states!
I'll re-do it with the new one when I get it and see what it says.

I've just downloaded 1.56.2 (nightmare on our uni network, almost all file sharing sites are blacklisted!) and it's showing the same voltages as 1.56.

Seems I do have golden chip after all. :D
