How easy was that, all on auto just changed it to 50 in bios.. Thats it!! Asus z68

Ye mate take it all out, If your going for CPUz/pi just use one stick and windows xp sp1

Aye Phase has it spot on. Less ram is better for your overclock maximum - certainly 16GB is going to put to big a stress on your CPU's IMC.

And he is correct that if you want speed in Super Pi a clean install XP Pro no drivers just the OS as it is, is the way to go.

If you want max frequency for CPUZ then you want Win7 - anyone of the different flavors on offer it makes no difference. Much easier to boot into OS with Win7 than XP.

Cheers guys, just shows i ran prime again for 2hrs and it just bsod again @ 4.6GHz 1.33v what volts are you using plz? just so i have an idea.. Think i will stick to 8gig of Ram the and see what the outcome is..

What are your other voltages apart from vcore? You should be able to do 4.6ghz on 1.33v no problem

i got mine to 5ghz when running over 1.4v but i dont like going that high with voltage, can get 4.9 on 1.45 stable on prime for 24hours but ive dropped down to 4.8 with 1.2v which is stable on prime for over 24hours thats on a 2600k :) no threads disabled

Hmmm! If you can run your 2600k at 4.8 with HT on and its Prime stable for 24hours with only 1.2v thats one crazy chip you got there.
