OCUK's new website

New site is harder to use/navigate.

This. The old site was a great example of efficient design. It was very very easy to use. Function over form every day. The more you have to use a site, the less the "prettyness" appeals, and the more you appreciate just being able to get things done.

The "PC Components" tree on the left side is a much better design than a JavaScript pop-out menu.

A little JS can be used to great effect, but I think mouse-over pop-out menus are more awkward to use than static links.

Have to agree with this guy and find the old site PC Components tree on the left side easier to navigate than the new pop up mouse over menu.

- the colours are bit odd but thats not to much of a problem
- the gradient on menu should be removed
- text is to small in places on mobile

you will need to sort this out otherwise google pageranking will tank.

you need 75+ on everything

Hmm as I've been using the old site since 2007 this one feel weird as hell. I do understand why red and blue got used that much because those two colours are in the OcUK logo, but I guess it feels "messy" just because I was used to the old site.

Edit: scrap my sorting complaint, I've found where it was, will take a while to get used to this :D

I'm having to do a lot more mouse movement and clicks than on the old site to get the products I'm interested in up on screen.

Do Not Like.

New web site design

Not sure if posted in right section, but the re designed front page for overclockers looks great imho. Well done to those involved with the updated look.

Had a bit more of a look around it now and I'm even more out off. The navigation is absolutely dire, its so hard to find what you're after now! Combined with the colours and style it's just not a nice site - sorry guys!

I'd have kept the old site and given it a bit of a tweak, it was perfectly functional before and maybe just needed a little freshening up.

Quick question, what did the powers that decided was wrong with the old site that it required this new update?

As I said before, it it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I don't like it, massive un-used bars on the side instead of a site that fills the screen.

Waste ofscreen space, and I'm just running 1920x1080.

Yes it is the time of phones and tablets, but come on, this is overclockers, where people on PC's browse for hardware, not mobile peasants.

I don't like the current trend of ''centering'' websites, align them from the left !
