Should be ok... but to get that extra few ms of latency, Wifi6 1200Mbs always a way to go.
What kind of latency you getting in the onscreen display?

new user - great summary ,thank you! Understood. So 1.4 scaling @80hz.... why 80? Definitely need to play Alyx also!

You're welcome. 80 because it wouldn't do 90 without reprojection and the stuttery crosshair thing. My preference is resolution over frame rate. Some say that anything below 90 seems less solid and can cause sickness. I've never been bothered by it but I started at 72Hz. 90Hz and go down one on the scaling or reduce the detail in game would be options. Depends what feels good for you.

Not impressed with the Virtual Desktop app

Loaded up google earth VR and it just displayed a 2D version of it on a big screen :( not all like the VR version you get when you use a Cable connected in rift mode

Thinking i may of wasted £20 buying this app

First headset?
na got the rift s, but wires destroy the freedom and vr experience, ill keep the s for dcs, but everything else ill use q2 along with wireless alyx etc :) , got it sideloaded while charging, now gotta set up the virtual desktop apps etc

Download the steam version, works fine...

Them videos look like they just show how to get the Quest 2 to work by wireless

Mine works no problem by wireless...Just that the Apps no work like they should do. They just show on a huge screen in 2D instead of showing in VR

Not wishing to sound rude, but if everything is just looking like it's a massive 2d screen, then clearly your wireless pcvr isn't working "no problem", as there's clearly a problem. Have you followed the instructions in the video?

I don't believe there's any need to sideload virtual desktop anymore, since it's now officially supported (maybe through app lab).

What version of Google Earth are you trying to play? The Steam or Oculus Version?

Also, are you starting it right? You don't actually start it like you normally would. You start it from the Games tab in the Virtual Desktop menu.

You don't need to sideload anymore.

EDIT: haha sorry, I am late as usual!!
Do i need this side quest App installed or not

Lots of reviews say you no need to side load anymore with the latest Virtual desktop versions

This is such a pain to get working as am reading different things & seeing different things.
Some people say you need to do this side load stuff and other say you don't need to side load anymore
