*** Oculus Quest 2 Owners Thread ***

Made by same people who made Blaston (very good). Quite active on discord, developers regularly respond to questions in there. Fingers crossed turns out decent. It's also crossplay with PCVR , PC (non vr) and playstation VR. So should be quite active.

Another game for OCUK members to meet up on!! Great :) It better be good Buddy :p

It feels like ages but actually i only ordered it 13 days ago because I was waiting for my eye test appointment for 2 weeks after i got my Quest.

So it's been like a month!

It just feels like I have reading your posts about lenses for months now :)

Will be interested to hear how much of a difference they make to your VR experience.

Info from the Demeo Devs:
The graphics/visual effects are better on PCVR vs Quest since the Quest has different hardware than most VR-compatible computers.

There will be cross-buy on the Oculus Store for Quest and Rift, but please note that the Rift version will be released a few weeks after May 6. Steam and Quest goes out on launch day.

This makes the decision more tricky! Don't fancy having to wait for the Oculus Rift version.

Some decent reviews. However, games last 1-2 hours and they are introducing save points later. Also worth it only with full team of mates.
Think I'll wait for the save points to be introduced first.

I'm looking to order a Quest 2 this weekend. Coming from a CV1, which I've been very satisified with so far, am I going to be blown away by the graphic fidelity?
90% usage is for sim racing (AC,ACC and Project Cars 2)

It's a lot sharper, the only downside i'd say are the black levels, more gray than absolute darkness (but only an issue in really dark games, like affected the manor etc).

I've kept my Quest 1 for any games that benefit from the OLED screen.

Hopefully the Q3 will address the few minor gripes I have the the Q2 - oled, better standard speakers and lighter weight would be pretty much bang on if they can keep to a similar budget imo.

I would caveat that, as the video compression is really noticable in some PC games. Games like Skyrim VR and Asgards wrath seem pretty bad in this regard. Possibly it's because they have very detailed graphics. The vast majority of games look massively better on the Quest 2 than on the CV1.
