*** Oculus Quest 2 Owners Thread ***

I'm up for it but think we need to wait for save point option to be implemented (I believe they are working on it). Games can be 1-2 hours.

In summer they are adding an expansion and new map etc. Could be a better time to jump in.

You are all echoing my thoughts. Going to wait a while and see how it develops. It looks like a decent game to pass an hour or two with friends.

Oh, the trailer for it on the Quest 2 store is cringeworthy.

What's the typical bitrate people play with the link? I've got a 3070.

Stolen from an uploadvr.com article. - "Facebook engineers say there are diminishing returns after 250 Mbps, but I’m particularly sensitive to compression and could see a difference up to around 350 Mbps. The maximum is 500 Mbps, but going beyond 250 is discouraged."

With the cable I do 350 on a 2080ti and 500 on a 3090. If you've got it too high you'll get stutters and audio artifacts. When I tried airlink I had it at 200.
There are some new settings in the debug tool for dynamic bitrate and dynamic bitrate max but I'm honestly not sure how they work or if they're just for airlink.

I have to disagree with the above. I set mine to 350ish and the net result was games run at slower fps. When I first experimented with wireless I had to reduce this to default. The thing is, when I went back to wired I left it at default and it looked exactly the same only no more stuttering.
