Yes I am getting the same, was working fine earlier today.

Figured out my problem with the sensor firmware update. For some reason it wasn't liking my USB3 ports despite having originally updated the firmware through them when first installing Oculus home.

Noticed in the connected devices list it was showing an error and device manager was saying it wasn't supporting a command it was sending it. The driver that was installed was a generic Microsoft one. Downloaded and installed the driver from the actual chipset manufacturer and everything was golden.

Should anyone else run into this problem my USB3 controller is from Fresco Logic - FL1009 series. Driver can be obtained from here: https://support.zoho.com/portal/frescologic/home

Having sorted that out I've just run my first laps in Project CARS. Unbelievably awesome :D:D:D I've got a full on racing rig

and it is like nothing else I have ever experienced. Early days and all that but this might just turn out to be the best £500 I have ever spent. Going to make resisting those 1080's all the harder :(

yeah its actually a really bad sign, it shows they are not commited to cross-headset game compatibility and want to effectively start a platform war within the PC space, or worse become the Apple of VR, isolated from everything else but lucrative.

I'm actually considering not buying anything on Oculus Home store and just using the device for more standard programs like virtual desktop and simulators.

Lol i was bored ;)

Haha, love that :D

Yer bud, the vid was blocked in a couple of countries because of the music, so I used Youtube to remove the music and replaced it with a copyright free track and it removed me speaking as well. Now uploading it again with copyright free music :) At least I didn't get on the naughty list, so all good :)

Not good to read Oculus doing the DRM thing and bad form in something that really needs mass adoption to get going.

Looks good, should do a proper impressions video once you had it for a week or so

Theres lots of things it can be used for, it just needs uptake / investment,
virtual tourism in particular stands out to me, dont know if you've seen the photogrammetric scanning techniques

I mostly intend to use my as a monitor alternative, I have had DK2 for a long time now so I am familiar with using them

I feel like this. All things being equal if they don't change their stance, I will go Vive.

Thanks and I was a bit nervy in front of a camera and yep, I will be doing a proper follow up and going more in-depth but not really had it long enough to give a full summary. Totally loving it and compared to my DK2, this is far superior.

the Rift has some USB3 compatibility problems. Sometimes, you're better off using USB2 :)

My god Assetto Corsa is wonderful. A few bugs present at the moment (to be expected) but the performance and immersion are incredible. Running great at high settings on a single 780 and the new MX5 Cup is a dream :)

So was there something wrong with the comment I made on your site?

hmmm after sensor update it keeps loosing tracking in elite.... But i think mine is faulty one to start with. Could not pass headset detection point no matter what. Does not work in dreamdeck ect...

i am also having a similar issue with my rift, ever since my windows 10 upgrade when i first start the pc the rift doesn't work and stays on red light.

it took me hours to get it to work again but now what i have to do is unplug the usb and re-plug it in. Then restart the pc and everything is working again!

A huge pain!
