Oculus Rift

you can get them here

or here

Whichever ones you prefer :) I bought mine at vrcover.

Just for information here guys, I have both of these. I ordered widmovr one first, the vrcover ones are better quality imo and the nose section is excluded. While this makes it move a bit more once the hmd is on your face it's stable, the widmovr cover ($19.99 one) tickled my nose quite badly which was very distracting.

I splurged on the vrcover kit with the deeper interface as I sometimes wear my glasses to play. It's certainly taken some of the pressure off my nose but I think the width of my glasses is also part of the problem not just the depth, so I may need narrower glasses.

Overall I thought the $19.99 for a single cover was a little overpriced for what it was from widmovr, and although the vrcover kit was far more expensive I'm happier with what I got (one cloth cover, several Velcro on interface pads plus two replacement interfaces to fix them to).

I've bought one of these vr foam covers, how long does delivery take?

Edit: their website says like 10 days, theres a reddit thread from 10 months ago saying this seller vr cover and lens is a scammer selling crap, I hope things have improved somewhat over time

The original material covers had a reputation for not staying on. The foam replacement facial interfaces however are excellent.

Foam replacements do not stop the facial sweat the way the material covers do. The lack of nose section with vr covers allows more air in, I noticed less misting up when I switched as breathing through my nose was not bounced back up inside the HMD.

I've bought quite a few things from VR Cover and VR Lens lab and not had any problems. VR lens lab is slow (3-4 week usually), VR Cover is fast if you pay for express shipping. You normally get a text message from DHL with customs charges to pay before the item is delivered. Most items I've had from VR Cover have been about 3-4 days from the shipping date.

Got my VR Covers today, wide moulded for glasses which are very comfortable.

Never noticed VR Lens before. Will give them a go over the next couple of months. Need to book an eye test first.

I know you can wash the covers but can you machine wash the foams from VR Covers?

Re glasses
I use glasses for watching TV (14 feet away)
and reading glasses for books etc
Which type would be needed or none?
I don`t `need` glasses for general use :)

the wider mould make a big difference for your glasses?, i thought it just moved your glasses further away with same size face mould.

I thought they were described as wider on the site, must have read that elsewhere. They are described as long / eyewear and do just add a little extra room for glasses by holding the rift a little further from your face.

Try the Rift with and without glasses (take care with the lenses touching each other). If you prefer the image with glasses then go order the long / eyewear option.

You also have the option of contacts or lenses from VR Lens.

I noticed the difference most in RoboRecall before taking a mission. Looking at the clock in the office area or the documents on the desk as you exit the lift.

....every time oculus software updates I find myself hoping I can get it working again. Every issue I've had has been after an update. I don't know why they don't tell you to restart the pc afterwards, it seems to be what's needed 9/10 times...

I've played from 10am till 9pm today, I'm absolutely drained, it's still incredible though, it'll prolly kill me though lolz

Really wondering what a 1080ti would be like running it versus my 970, I seem to be using 3.6GB vram and get some stuttering when trying high SS levels

What SS levels are you running, I am on 1080ti and use to run everything at 1.6 but now dropped to 1.5 as I cannot see any difference but should be easier on the hardware.
