Oculus Rift

Do you guys run a dedicated gaming rig for your VR stuff and a different rig for pancake?
Same rig for me, which is in my attic, so the sloping ceilings aren't ideal, and I don't have much room for room scale. Plus it get really hot in summer, so VR in those conditions isn't viable. :( I'd like to have a setup in my living room, but can't really justify the expense.

I have a small cinema room which sadly I don't think will house a VR setup for room scale without me smashing my 65 inch TV whilst playing... :(
My friend puts a bed sheet over his tv when he plays vr, he said he’s hit it a couple times but it hasn’t caused any damage.

How big of a play space would you have? I have seen people saying there space is to small, but ends up being perfectly fine, myself included

Purchased a touch bundle off the MM a few days ago for the 3 sensor setup
Unfortunately it does not like my USB ports ,too many resources etc etc
So i thought no problem i will pop my 4 port inatek card in,only to realise that the pcix1 slot is behind my 1070 :(

Are there any pci cards available that would take just the 3rd sensor?
If fitted the card into the 2nd pcix gfx slot it is a bit close to my 1070,would it be a problem?also would it drop the 1070 down to x8 or whatever?
should i just put the xtra sensor away till i get a new system?
mobo is a 1150 GA-Z87-D3HP

Just popped the card in as suggested:)
Seems ok
gpu temps not changed, not blocking airflow much
Had a pig of a job setting up the 3 sensors, still not sure it is setup properly.
Have to wait until i do a bit of gaming
EDIT card reports x16 in gpuz

I have a 3 room sensor setup and large play area.

The 2 front sensors are at a height of 6.5ft / 2m. The rear sensor is at a height of 4ft/1.2m

The rear sensor, mounted behind my rear stand mounted AV Speaker is fairly hidden away which is great.

I am not so keen on the front sensors mounted so high on the wall. They look ugly and people assume they are cameras.

What is the lowest optimum height for the (front) sensors?

Is it possible to make the cable and sensor housing "temporarily" white ?

Is there a better way of hiding the Sensors on the wall with an ornament/decoration?

cheers

They are cameras the black cover on the front is an ir filter. https://uploadvr.com/hackable-webcam-oculus-sensor-be-aware/
Desk height would be fine as long as you don't get too close and get into an occlusion zone.
Paint them white?
