Same rig for me, which is in my attic, so the sloping ceilings aren't ideal, and I don't have much room for room scale. Plus it get really hot in summer, so VR in those conditions isn't viable. I'd like to have a setup in my living room, but can't really justify the expense.Do you guys run a dedicated gaming rig for your VR stuff and a different rig for pancake?
My friend puts a bed sheet over his tv when he plays vr, he said he’s hit it a couple times but it hasn’t caused any damage.I have a small cinema room which sadly I don't think will house a VR setup for room scale without me smashing my 65 inch TV whilst playing...
Can I use a Xbox pad for controlling the car in dirt rally or does that spoil the fun? Going to give it a go tonight
See no reason why not but would certainly be much better with a proper wheel and peddle setup.
What're your guys experiences with the rift and steamVR?
on my 1080:
HDMI -> living room AVAMP -> OLED 4K
DP -> Rift via dongle
DP -> Dell monitor
NP, recommended it to a few people on Reddit.Just wanted to say thanks again - picked up that adaptor and it works perfectly... solved all my frustrations of the old dodgy adaptor making my screen hard to use.
Just watched this epicThis was similar to my mum’s reaction with the high building and T. rex demo. She didn’t swear so much though. Love people’s first reaction to VR

They are cameras the black cover on the front is an ir filter. https://uploadvr.com/hackable-webcam-oculus-sensor-be-aware/They look ugly and people assume they are cameras.
What is the lowest optimum height for the (front) sensors?
Is it possible to make the cable and sensor housing "temporarily" white ?
Is there a better way of hiding the Sensors on the wall with an ornament/decoration?
Yeah pretty good, tends to detect everything absolutely fine and runs well.

Desk height would be fine as long as you don't get too close and get into an occlusion zone.
Paint them white?
