Oculus Rift

LOL, but that's what I mean. Because your speakers are orientated so that you are facing the monitor when using them, but in VR, front is what ever way you are facing. And then there is the problem with sounds from above and below. I should test it myself lol, I am so lazy.

So playing some games earlier and the positioning was great with the 5.1 home cinema system, but then I played some robo recall in full room mode and ran into a big problem. All the voices and music for the game seems to be coming out of the one centre speaker so when you turn round the music and voices are coming from wrong place.

So for now I have switched robo recall back to front facing mode.

But hopefully I can find a fix for this if not I think I will have to maybe try the upgraded headphones for this? Are they any good?

Also I was getting some detection errors on my gun in some corners when facing back to sensors. So I need to maybe move them further apart or get 3rd sensor at some point.

I have found the headphones on the Rift to be pretty good. I have no complaints about the sound quality at all.

Sounds like you need a third sensor alright. Two sensors struggle at 360 if they are more than 10ft apart. Having a third sensor eliminates most of the dead spots.

.
Yeah sound quality is really good no complaints there. It's just for last 10 years I have been playing games with 1000 watt surround system so having headphones on just isn't the same feel.

I think the problem is that you have them on the same wall. They need to be placed diagonally front and rear if you want 360 tracking.

Yeah I will play about with it and see if I can get it reliable with 2 sensors.

I have used them command strips so can move them about.

Do you have diagram of best way to setup 2 sensors?

Does this help? https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.ne...=8a4ea5f4e291b7a862eb42af5dfd571b&oe=5C34CE47

If you can't get one on the back wall, would it be an option to have one on the nearest side wall that's effectively behind and pointing into your play space?

Yeah that helps thanks I went for the wrong corners.

I might need another exstension before I try it.

If I have to get 3rd sensor then I will from what I have seen so far playing in full room mode is a lot better.

I bought everyday golf vr for 23 quid and returned it as it was glitchy in that 2 games ajd both times resulting in not being able to continue as swinging for the ball wouldn't register a hit.

Does tee time golf support local multiplayer?

I played the echo arena earlier and what a great game that is.

Full room tracking wasn't too bad for me in that game with just the 2 sensors up high.

I do have a couple more questions for you guys. What's the best way to deal with face sweating? Also my cables are getting fairly twisted playing echo arena any suggestions?

What do you mean local multiplayer? Where one person takes a shot and then the next person puts on the headset and takes a shot? Or are you talking about two different computers?

Face Sweating get a new facial interface with cover from Vr Covers. The basic set is prefect. It's cooler and some find it more comfortable too.

Cables getting twisted? I use a cable management system that suspends the cable over your head.

Well everyday golf vr you took all your shots for that hole then passed the headset and controller onto the next person

Tried it out and sorry to say that it doesn't have local multiplayer. You can play against someone on another PC, even if they don't have a headset.

Thanks I will get a cover then I need it because as my face is sweating a lot and also fogging is an issue.

As for the cables I can't really suspend them from the ceiling as it's mums house and in the living room.

Hey if anyone wants to add me my name is Ginnnny on steam and Oculus.

I haven't bought any games yet though and I'm still getting used to it all and trying out the free ones.
