thanks I will check them out.
What one's your favorite?
At the moment Thrill of the Fight is my favourite. But, I enjoyed both of them.
Box VR has a free weekend this weekend, you could check it out and see if it's any good.
@RockSteddy has Creed, so he might be able to tell you what that's like.
Do you guys buy games from the SteamVR or Oculus Store?

can you adjust brightness on rift?
got mine today, running on a gtx 670 for now. its not the best experience but its alright.
just wondering for whenver i get my 2080 if theres any tips to maximise performance?
Im new to all this but from what I have learned last couple of weeks the best thing is get a third sensor and some exstension leads and set sensors up high on the wall.
Gives you much freedom when you are in vr.
Its more the framerate which is killing me mate.
I only used 2 sensors for now and the tracking is awesome in the demos.. but soooo jittery with a 670. waiting for a 2080.
Does anyone have any solutions for the foam?
AKA a VR cover which:
1. Glasses friendly
2. May increase FOV a bit
3. Will prevent light leakage
pleaaaaaaase!
What are black levels meant to be like on the rift?
I'm playing with mine at the moment and its not as black as my PSVR. I'd say the grid where you align your IPD distance.. its clear from the binoculars view that its darker on the sides (aka not the screen) than the rift.
I'm not sure if this is normal or if I should get a replacement?
I've set via NVIDIA my colour to full, and disabled/enabled SPUD. Not seen a HUGE difference. I was expecting inky black. Is this a clear limitation at present or i have got a crap unit?
I am new to rift so I just went and done thorough check and can confirm mine is the same as yours on a full screen of black it is grey. I checked a few different games all the same.
I don't know if it is how it is meant to be or a nvidia issue.
I know when I got my gtx 1080 last year it has some very bad gamma problems with everything being washed out and changing settings in windows didn't help I had to change the gamma level on the tv to fix it.
So I would also like to know if this can be adjusted because right now the blacks are very washed out just like my tv after I switched from AMD.
Edit:
Just to be clear Im not complaining, the rift picture quality is amazing it's the first oled screen I have ever seen and the colours are so deep and vibrant.
It's just the all black screens are grey I just wondered if it's how they are or if it is something I can fix.
The blacks seem fine when mixed in with other colours.
Yeah its nothing game breaking I agree.
Nice and Vibrant? TBH these screens look like any other screen to me. A bit better than my PSVR headset but nothing ground breaking. Definitely no where near say my smart phone or TV... Can you take a picture of your screens for comparison in say Robo-Recall?
Also thank you for your response. It put my mind at ease re: black levels.
I suppose the other screens in my life are not that great, I have a Panasonic plasma st50 for my Living room and my phone is xiomi mi max 2 and my bedroom is a mid range pannasonic led.
After playing beat saber where the reds and blues are so clear and vibrant, I take my rift off all my other screens look dull and washed out.
Have you played any beat saber yet? Seems a great game for the colours and lots of fun. IMO it really suits the rift and shows off how good the motion and colours are on the screen.
I can't really take any pics I don't have decent camera.
Yup love beat saber. So much fun. Hmm your panasonic plasma surely must look quite amazing. Idk I find the colours on the rift just ok... like I wouldn't say theres night and day difference between that and the PSVR.
Maybe my st50 plasma looked great years ago but many many 1000's of hours on it and it really doesn't have any pop to the colour at all and it just keeps getting duller overtime.
It's probably less than half it's original brightness now, in the day it can't go any where near bright enough for a good picture and at night maxed out it's still pretty dull.
It has been main gaming screen for over 6 years now and I game a lot, also it is my living room tv so when it's not gaming it's normally on sky.
I have been looking to replace it for a while now but couldn't find anything I liked that would be good for gaming and a livng room screen, so im waiting it out for the next years models with the hdmi 2.1, 4k, 120hz screens.
It's kind of why I bought the rift I couldn't find a screen I liked and wanted something new so got the rift.
Not a bad shout. I think all the question marks about new tech going into tvs in the next year or 2 is really exciting.
I'm quite excited about how TV/Movies might look on the Pimax 5k whenever it turns up for non-backers.
Yeah no doubt the Rift is an absolute blast. Robo Recall is just insane man. The controllers are amazing.
