If I had £8k spare I would buy that car, xfer you the plate and then sell the car on if you'd agree to (eventually) cover any shortfall.

and I'd love you for it, although it's a tough time to sell rare marques like a p1

the same spec classic would sell for probably 3-4k

Got me some sticky things that came highly recommended from an independent motor shop so given them a go. Noticed that there are 2 screw holes in the boot lid that I hadn't seen before so if it comes off again I'm going to drill some holes in the plate and get it screwed in!
