Yes it is the performance figures, but doesn't mean it was putting that much out. Could be down on power or have a fault.

Why would it be? I think its much more likely he wasn't racing or, if he was, he was a chimp, in which case you didnt 'beat a 320d' any more than you'd 'beat a 911 Turbo' if granny tried it on without taking it out of 6th gear.

The race did happen, I wouldn't come in here with made up stories then to be made a fool of.

Would you not :p

What Fox said. There's no way a Yaris T Sport is taking on a working/well driven 320d in a drag :p

The Yaris takes 20% longer to reach 60 than the 320d, and it will be getting worse from there thanks to the BMWs +80% power advantage!

Fair point, I agree. But he was racing, everyone races in Bradford.

No because then I would have to face you, and we all know you dislike me. :p

Agreed, Yaris is only good for 0-60, above that it just doesn't get faster..quickly.

Yea, I bet. It's like something from Fast and the Furious up there in Bradford. Everywhere you go people in completely ordinary cars are sitting at the lights revving the engine to attract a new potential challenger.

It does 0-60 in 8.7 seconds so if thats what its 'good' for i'd hate to see what the rest of it is like

No, they just pull up along side you and then beep horns, it's quite the buzz! :p

Well in speed sense, handling is quite good for what it is, too much bodyroll which is annoying, however lowering it seems to sort that out from what I've heard.

Nippy and light and it's quite a nice car to drive locally, however driving on the motorway for a long distance is bad.

So every time you pull up at the lights beside, say, a Xsara Picasso, you beep horns incase they want a race?

Is there ever any peace and quiet at the traffic lights?! I'd hate to live beside a set!

The vtr does 0-60 in basically 10 seconds. The BMW is a fair amount quicker... A yaris winning a traffic light gp... lol sure you did.

No I do not.

Don't you ever race Fox? Or do you waft around with your pipe and slippers and admiring the German engineering of your auto mobile? ;)

No I do not.

So how does it work then? How do you end up in a race with an ordinary car?

I mean I'd understand how you could get into one with a lad in a Fiesta ST perhaps?

Not many people will pull up beside a 5 Series and assume the driver might be game for a race, so, no, not very often because nobody tries it on. This is why I'm struggling to understand how you got into a race with a 320d unless you make a habit of trying to race literally every car on the road?

Sure try it on when you pull up against something that looks like it's obviously owned by a petrolhead but... a 320d?

Ordinary cars such as..Bmw 320d, Audi A4 2.0TDI Sline, Golf TDI, Audi A3 TDI. Any asian with a Derv will think he has some sort of super car, similar to myself with the Yaris.

Had an Asian lad in a Astra 1.7CDTI or something like that having a go, gave him a bit of stick and left him to it. Same with a lad in a Corsa B.

Because it's an Old mans car. Comb your beard oldman, joke. Yeah well it does depend on who the driver is, young lad in flashy car = race. Guy in his 30 who looks like a normal sane person = no race.
