he didnt have much defending to do, its the same as real's attacking players the reason why di maria beat alves was because alves spent the whole match running down the whole side of the pitch, whereas di maria did some short sprints every 20 minutes.

I would've thought you of all people would realise that spunking money on a new squad every year doesn't get you anywhere. Barca will probably win the league, they got to the cup final and are in the Champions League semis. Not bad for a team that needs to reinvest.

they dont need another Messi,
they need a partner/backup for Villa (someone like an in form Torres)
they also need a decent left winger to use instead of pedro, and use pedro as a sub at best. (robhino or aguero)
they also need someone to replace xavi/iniesta when they cant do anything (fabregas)
and another CB (someone good enough like real madrid have Albiol as backup)
Real just got it all right in the first half, high tempo and got about Barca, Barca got going in the second, it was almost as if Real were fighting against a tide, couldn't be stopped and then a brilliant counter attack by the only two attacking players Real really had on, Great header.
Hard to take from a Barca point of view, again, played better football, thought they were the better side, but Real just gave a masterclass in being defensive, dirty and counter attacking. Played Ronaldo.
Also, what kind of nuclear power device do they use to give Alves / Ronaldo / Pique energy?

Yeh because Man City haven't gone anywhere in the past 3 years
Only gone from mid-low prem team getting knocked out in fa cups by teams from Championship and below to a Top 4 team with a good chance of champions league and in a FA Cup Final.
It isn't bad but tonight showed how 'weak' their team is. They had no one who could come on and change the game like Madrid had in Kaka, Adebayor, Higuain and Benzema.
I know i was just saying like a good player who can come in. Bojan could be it but Guardiola doesnt play him.
Cant imagine Barca signing either of them when they like to have a near full Spanish team and use Catalonian players.
I agree although Fabregas wont sit on the bench?

it isnt the first time they have been shown up, just thin arsenal away in champions league, as soon as Song started breaking their players legs, they fell apart, song had like 20 fouls in that game, he should have been sent off within the first half, but he was only carded once after about 10 tackles and it worked, the Barca team fell apart and they had nobody on the bench to come on and do something.

arsenal are like the barcelona pub team tbh

The Barca team isn't "weak", I'm sorry but look at what they've won in the past ~ 5 years? Amazing, all playing the game the right way, beautiful football.
Barca, would utterly destroy City, in fact, Real are probably the only club that can stop Barca.
Indeed they are, Arsenal are a poor man's Barca, almost as good in every department, but not quite.

their first team is close to best in the world - 1 or 2 weak players.
but their bench is weak.
when teams like man city, inter, ac milan, man utd, chelsea all have someone they can bring on and change a game, barcelona dont.
they need a plan B, ibrahimovich would have been perfect as a plan B, they should have kept him or at least sold him and got a replacement, they needed Villa anyway.
Na, Wenger will just use that money to buy a couple of 10 year olds and pay them 30k a week on there training program(its a known fact arsenal pay stupid about of salary to there kids/reserves).
It is 'weak' outside of the first 11. Real have Kaka on the bench, Barca have Keita, Barca have Bojan and Real have Higuian.
There is just no comparisons. Fortunatly it is rare that a Barca player bar Puyol is injured and so they rarely need someone to come into the team but on occasions like tonight and last week they could have done with someone like a Benzema etc who could come and make a difference.
