People said the League here was over when Chelsea had a lead earlier this seasons, people said it was over when we had a big lead a few months back.


The footballing world will always be full of idiots saying it's over.
 
lol, stopped watching, Barca games just feel SO inevitable, on top of the stream being rubbish and finding it hard to find english commentary :p

Anyway, at least their first goal was a joke, obviously offside, it wasn't even really very close, joke decision. Grrr, we needed them to lose for it to be really close.

Also I think it was only ever 10 point gap but RM had a game in hand, the gap was only really 7 points, its 5 if Barca do win tonight, hardly a massive change.

Though be interesting to see if they are improved tonight, the Barca that drew with Sporting and lost to Arsenal was a very tired post internationals Barca. Arsenal really don't want to see them find their form before the second leg. Praying its more of a Chelsea type drop in form than a blip just from tiredness.
 
Messi just dribbled past 6 players or something stupid, fouled in the box... obvious pen and it's not given! Amazing skill.
 
2-1... Messi finally gets his goal! Barca must be so relieved now.


Anyone noticed Messi looks like he has a bit of a fat face?
 
It looks like other teams have taken some inspiration from the last two games and Barca now suddenly look still brilliant but far less god-like. 2-1 now, but Bilbao basically asked for it given when they get the ball they aren't committing enough people forward, thus wasting the opportunity to counter and getting pushed straight back into their 1/3 of the pitch.

Other thoughts:
Barca love whining/surrounding the ref/look like crying every time something doesn't go their way.

Rat Boy trying to copy his friend Busquests and do a little of the old "ref look I've been smacked in the face off the ball, honest mate! The pain!"

Bilbao had sort of the right idea but not enough quality to pull it off.

Pinto looks like a pirate. Valdes out for a few weeks apparently, probably good news for us.
 
Is there anyone left who doesn't rate Pedro?

I'd hardly call him underrated. People never seem to shut up about how good he is.

He's often spoken about on here and elsewhere as a "weak link" in the Barca side, along with Valdes. I don't think either are.

Valdes has been one of the best keepers in the league in the past few seasons.

Also; Real just look... meh.

Pedro has some of the best positional awareness around. He's always in the right place at the right time. Top player imo.
Weak link of Barca? Busquets. Why oh why they didn't keep Toure.

I don't think Busquets is a weak link either, he's a top passer and is good at pressing and hassling the opposition. He's just not as good as Xavi, but considering he's maybe the best midfielder Spain have produced that's okay :p
