Slight problem, got it installed but virgin internet is currently out in Bristol. So maybe tonight or early afternoon tomorrow. Just depends when it's fixed.

From the Beeb:
Formula 1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone says he is hopeful there will be a grand prix in New York from 2012. Full story: Gazzetta dello Sport
Just lol at the logistics of trying to do that and he clearly hasn't seen the quality of the roads lately :D

And surely it would have to be around the old bit of Manhatten (ie the most difficult bit to do), since everywhere else is a grid system.

The road through Central Park would be pretty spectacular actually...

From the autosport article, Bernie Ecclestone wants it to take place in New Jesery so that the background would be lower Manhattan and the skyscrapers.

Doubt that it's for the same function, there isn't a shark fin channel thing to dump the air on the rear wing. I am curious what it is for though, maybe for cooling something.

I would've thought that they wouldn't have put it on show that early though, I'm sure rival designers would have picked up on that and wondered why it's there unless it has an obvious other function. Maybe they could have implemented it last year, but they were probably focusing on getting the basics of the car up to a decent level and it perhaps wasn't worth giving away their secret when they didn't have chance at either championship, Abu Dhabi massive straight with KERS and F-duct would've been nice to see though.
