Thought he was born in Connecticut? Besides, Austin is hardly a Republican stronghold. If anything, most voters go for the Democrats or vote Libertarian.

Not really. Texas Motor Speedway is near Fort Worth, not Austin.

Again, though....it really isn't. We had nearly 50 years of NASCAR racing before they started building Texas Motor Speedway.

North Carolina is NASCAR country. Not Texas.

Maybe in parts. But certainly not all over the state, and certainly not in Austin.

NC, Alabama, Georgia, Virginia....that's where the majority of the old-school NASCAR fanbase is. And Daytona, Florida of course....but they like pretty much anything with wheels that goes fast.
