***Official 2010 F1 thread***

If there is a market for extra races (ie. if ticket and advertising revenue can cover the costs), then there is nothing wrong with having extra races.

If the existing staff can't handle the work load, then guess what guys - you hire more staff. All businesses work in exactly this way.

Its more down to time constraints than costs, time is the one thing F1 teams cannot buy.

But surely the time constraints would apply to all teams, therefore it will be a level playing field. This means that all teams will have to deal with the same logistical problems.

It's doable, though as someone pointed out earlier in this thread, increasing the number of races was veto'd by a few teams, so at present, its a non-starter.

Thats a VERY good idea. It will avoid frustration for the drivers who are in faster cars.

How they split up the teams would be crucial though.

I am guessing they would just remove the 4 slowest teams and let them have their own qualifying battle. Would the BBC actually show the extended qualifying though?

They should just live with it, and get rid of the stupid ruling on holding up faster drivers.

If someone is blatantly blocking by all means punish them, but all the crap about holding someone up by being a second or 2 up the road should be removed. It's part of the sport and effects everyone.

Hmm, interesting - Webber and Nando are close though, right? Maybe he wants someone there who is more co-operative than Massa!

Can't imagine why RBR would want Massa, when they could potentially have KIMMAYYYY though :D

I can't see any logic in Webber and Massa doing a swap, unless Alonso isn't getting along with Massa.

IMO, as long as RedBull provide their 2 drivers with the best car on the grid, Vettel and Webber should do a good enough job.

Given that RedBull have decent bargaining power (ie. they currently have the best car on the grid), they could probably lure almost any driver they wanted.

Right now, based on results so far this season, McLaren have the best driver pairing. Massa has been a let-down at Ferrari so far this season.

If Ferrari do get Kubica, then they will be able to go to-to-toe with McLaren.

Massa started the season off well (he even led it at one point), but then he faded for whatever reason.

My opinion of Massa is he's unable to make things happen, starts on pole fine he's all well and good and can drive off into the sunset.

Ask him to make progress through the field and be a racer and too often he goes totally awol.
