He did arrive at the grid wearing all red. And in a recent interview he said he'd always been a Ferrari fan.

If Sainz has another mediocre year, I wouldn't rule out the possibility.
Yeah so unless Ferrari reach out he's almost certain to sign an extension with Mercedes.

He'll just have the luxury of being able to wait if the car isn't that competitive.

If anything, Ferrari would be mad not to. Sainz has proved he's not on par with Leclerc. And even if Lewis doesn't win them a championship, the PR, status and marketing opportunities that comes with having him join would be worth it.

Yeh, I doubt any team would turn down Lewis to be honest (except maybe RB, because Max and Lewis in the same team would be too explosive).

I put a silly 10 pound bet on alonso to win the WDC. 20/1 during fp2.

Just looked and its 9/1.

Obviously don't in any way see him really getting it. But a little bet makes the season more interesting

If Aston's pace is genuine and they keep development up (a big if) then I can see Alonso winning this year, if Merc could win 1 race last season from where they were Aston should be able to do it
And AM appear to be much closer than Mercedes were at the beginning of last season. It just depends on AM's ability to develop the car. Somehow RB will continue to bring new parts all season despite having much reduced CFD and Wind tunnel time and a lowered budget cap.
