Alex Jacques desperately trying to make it seem like Max isn’t going to win. :D Well done Piastri anyway. Shame Danny Ric couldn’t hang on for a point.

Zero consequences to the order of the cars? What are you smoking. the sidepod damage caused Perez to drop back many places and retire from the race. The blind love Hamilton gets, gets even more bizarre.
Got any view of sidepod damage of this? There was literally no mention of this in the C4 coverage? Surely if the car was damaged by Lewis, Perez would have been whining about it on the radio and it would have been played and mentioned. But it was just Perez moaning that he had no grip, which was the case long before Lewis was side by side.

Edit - just saw you picture. Fair enough, that's a lot more damage than expected. I guess C4 just completely glossed over it then! Hardly looked like they touched from the replays I saw.

Just posted it above :)

Oscar is pretty f'in good from the past couple of weeks. Had my doubts at the start of the season but he seems capable

More so than Danny ric.

He's been closer to Norris all season than Ricardo was. The car updates seem to have helped significantly.

The McLaren driver pairing is extremely good IMO. When the car comes good they seem like they would be a deadly combo, similar to rosberg and Hamilton but hopefully without the drama that went with them.

Good to see Ricardo doing well though, just don't think McLaren suited him.

Yeah the floor and sidepod damage must have been negligible. must have been the tyres going off a cliff at the same time

Perez had no rear grip and that is why Lewis was able to close up and attempt a pass. The damage caused by the collision was a contributing factor to Perez dropping places after Lewis passed him at La Source.

That penalty for Lewis was total and utter *******

After all the extremely dangerous **** Max pulled at the end of 2021, Lewis gets a penalty for THAT.

Ridiculous

And your blind hate for Hamilton gets even more bizarre too.

Last time I checked penalties were, supposedly, given out for the incident and not the outcome. There's no doubt Hamilton hit Perez but there were also mitigations so it wasn't 100% Hamilton's fault. I guess it becomes a question of how far off a perfect 50:50 does it need to be for a penalty to be given? 50.1/49.9? 60/40? 70/30?

But lets ignore how dog slow Perez was before Hamilton hit him or how slow Perez was out of the bus stop and La Source immediately afterwards - both mechanical grip corners, not aero ones and well before additional tyre wear from the reduced downforce would felt. Let's also ignore the pundits and reporters who have also suggested it was a harsh penalty as they all must also be Hamilton fanboys too

Why are you quoting a post about there being zero consequences for the incident. That poster has now seen the big damage to Perez's car and clearly it had a very big change to the race outcome.

Perez was clearly ahead of Hamilton before Hamilton drove into him. The pundits also didn't see the damage hence their initial reaction. I'm sure they'd revise it upon seeing the replays of the incident too. And yes Sky Tv are of course quite pro Hamilton, he's British.

You can't drive into someone and cause an incident and then complain about getting a penalty for causing an incident. It's pretty clear. :p

Piastri is the real deal. Norris is good, but he doesn't have that final 1 or 2%; DR's inability to handle a bad car made Lando look better than he really is.

Wash your mouth out with soap young man...

Norris is very good, we'll see how good through the rest of the season If piastri keeps up this form, but so far Norris has had him beat this season

Norris has been putting the car where it doesn't deserve to be week in week out pretty much for the past couple of seasons, he's got proven ability to race hard aswell. Might have been one or 2 occasion he dropped the ball but then what driver hasn't.

Norris is also usually pretty good in the wet.

I'm not sure how you can say piastri is the real deal based on 1 good result, completely discounting seasons of pretty good results in dog cars for Norris.

Dr proved he wasn't the real deal when driving the McLaren, he's very lucky red bull are giving him another crack at the whip.
