That Red Bull is nowhere in race pace especially on the hard compound - the Haas was catching towards the end. I don't think I've ever seen a championship winning car fall off as badly as this (don't think Brawn GP count!). Max's defensive capabilities were absolutely stupid today and I'm pleased to see him punished.

If I was Lando I would say screw this championship and chuck one right up the inside and crash on purpose to prove a point as until this happens MV will always have the upper hand IMO.
 
I don't get how we are talking like the drivers don't know what is okay after racing their entire lives. It's just some drivers are arrogant and deluded.

Always been the way. He's never given space for good clean racing, he just closes the door and pushes off track. Which means people end up preferring to stay behind in fear of having their race ruined.

Or they run wide, rather than letting a collision happen, which hides a lot of the issues.

Perez just seems to expect everyone to move out of the way and not fight because he is in a clearly faster car (although not so much, in his hands). The idea that the other driver might fight him seems to come as a complete surprise to him.

I think Lawson was naughty coming back on track like he did though.
 
I'm surprised Red Bull have kept him around this long, he's been a dead weight for a good while now. Dive bombs the inside and expects somebody who is probably driving for his seat next year to just yield and not got their elbows out, pretty sure he did the same with Stroll a lap or two later and came off second best their too?

Been saying this since 2021 but consistently shouted down :o The superior car he had in 2022 and 2023 totally hid the fact that he can’t race wheel to wheel with anyone. Full stop.

Edit: dunno about Pinkham but I’m uncomfortable with Danica being on screen spouting opinions now that she’s come out as a mentalis.. i mean Trump supporter :(

Yep when he could just qualify P1 then run away 30 seconds into the lead there was never an issue. He always raced the same way when Lewis was up there with him, and Lewis was not one to give him an inch to his antics which many times ended up going badly.

He can race wheel to wheel just his interpretation is of the absolute extreme and is prepared to push the boundaries to protect his area. He's up there with Schumi and Senna for aggressive driving. It annoys me though as an MV fan that he continues to do these stupid acts - in reality if he had let LN get past he would have finished higher.

I would not at all be surprised to see some penalty points added for MV after today.
