That replay didn't really back up their decision for Verstappen. Guess it wouldn't be as fun for qualifying if he was on pole though, so best to get it off the board and have a proper shootout for "the show"...

Think the flags are there, just by Sainz’s car so very hard to see.
F1TV analysing it in the studio and it looks like you can see hand waved double yellows just to the right of the car that has crashed.
Yeah, Max will argue he was looking at the apex and the track ahead and not having any notification on the dash. But the flags were there.
The lights/dash won't trigger until a marshal presses the button at the marshal point that someone is waving a flag. So there will always be a tiny delay.

Slightly off topic but Craig Slater is fantastic for the interviews in the media pen, a great balance of technical questions with balancing drivers emotions. Doesn’t feel like he’s looking for drama or a headline.

Don't they delete any lap they pass double yellows on, to ensure there's no incentive to push it?

Sainz has been noted for crossing the track and Crofty? was trying to defend him asking how he's supposed to get back to the pit... ummm within the rules and wait for the marshals to direct him.

From memory, Danny was doing OK on his return until he injured his wrist/hand.
I'd replace Perez with Danny now and put Lawson or whoever in the minor Redbull seat Danny currently has.
