Well its only a tenner more, which isn;'t bad for day 1 prices.
Truth, I'm always amazed by the invisible UK mark-up that is put on new releases.

According to Guru3D about €203 which is like £185.
Apparently, these aren't the fastest single GPUs.
More like nvidia reacted by dropping their price when they got wind of the performance.

So between the 6850 and the GTX460 1GB with overclocking and tesselation in mind, which is better?
Yeah caymans meant to have a good bit more omph, gonna be interesting come next month thats for sure.

Actually, i would thank nvidia for releasing the 460 at a competitive price point, where there was no equivalent AMD card. AMD had to react.
But i only wonder now, if TSMC had not balls up their 32 nm process how much cheaper the 6850 and 6870 would have been. I don't think 25% would have been unreasonable: GBP110 for the 6850 and GBP150 for the 6870 would have been very competitive.

Haha, you really are deluded. It's Nvidia doing the reacting, if Nvidia had kept the previous prices then they would have been slaughtered by these new cards. But considering the sizes of the chips on the Nvidia cards they are going to lose a lot more money than AMD are. AMD can lower prices and still be making a profit. I doubt Nvidia are making much if any profit on their cards at the new prices.
