Finally! The beta 08 has fixed my QX6700 stuck multiplier (x6) in Vista x64. EIST now works perfectly in it too :)

How fast is your QX6700 running on this board?

Mine has reached 3.45GHz using a Tuniq Tower 120 and 1.4025v (according to the BIOS but uGuru on Vista 64 says its 1.36v)

Hi,

I've been looking at reviews for this motherboard and they mention that the early Bios is a bit rubbish. Is it better now? Is it a stable motherboard? Does the RAID work well on it?

Im not too bothered with overclocking. Thanks

yes, it's one of the best 965 mobos & it's very stable.
Don't use RAID myself but Intel RAID is supposedly markedly better than nVidia's RAID.

No probs, Ballistix or G.Skill HZ are good.
Once you get it if you need any help we can talk you through anything here or on abit-USA forums.

To be honest, a QuadGT is a waste of money if you're not overclocking. An ASRock ConroeXFire-eSATA II would do everything you want and it can be had for half the price. It runs the Intel 945 chipset with ICH7R and it's absolutely rock solid stable without any BIOS updates or anything at all.

For ultra-stability buy an Intel branded, Intel chipsetted P945 or P965 board. There is nothing more stable.

Only has 4 SATA ports, need at least 8. Plus i need it to be Quad core compatible. Finding this and this thread made my final decision very easy.

Thanks all the same ;)
