**Official ABIT IP-35 Pro Review/Overclock/Guide Thread**

Yes I have, and no joy. Other than buying a 1.8 stick to setup the mobo - what are my options - and is this a realistic cause? I'll *borrow* a stick out of my work pc :p

I just called Abit tech support and they have no technical documentation about the board so didn't have any idea.

Think I'll just order a P4 see if the celeron is unsupported, whats OcUKs return policy on opened CPUs?

UPDATE: Abit got back to me and reckon its the memory too. I got a stick from work but it was only PC2-3200 so wasn't supported. I'll head down the local PC shop at lunchtime :p

lol thats scary, if they no info, what chance has any 1 else got.
hope u get it working m8, i ordered the reaper 6400 yest & the ultra 120
hope all geos good for u m8 & just maybe need that extra volts.
over on the abit forum loads seems 2 b using the reaper editions all ok.
also thks for letting me know the ultra fits ok.
hopefully if del today/tomm can get mine all set up.

i use the ocz 8500 on the pro , no probs.....
with respect to the cpu psu thing, u using 4 of 8 pin power connector on the mobo?? just wondering....might make no difference

I have to say that is a really awful place to put a molex socket. Glad to see it has an LED fault display though. The Fatal1ty 650i sli could have done with one of those. It might not have been such a nightmare then. Does the bios actually work on this one then?

8-pin. Running an Antec Truepower trio 650. As it happens I've tried 2 PSUs one being a 4pinner. Tried some different 1.8v mem - same shiate. Abit are now saying the CPU is supported so I'm gonna push for an RMA.

Seeing a POST sequence of C1->C3->05->0d->11 Where 11 isn't in the manual and the abit tech support don't know what it means - muppets!

RMA'd board on Fri, it's been tested now and confirmed working but doesn't support Celeron despite what abit tech support said. Being returned now, with a Q6600 to boot

Will spill as soon as I have it working Dave.

Anyone else care to share thier view on this motherboard as im going to be buying one very soon, and with this being such a great motherboard I would have thought we would have a few more people raving on about it?

Spill the beans. . .

same boat as most, bought the ip35 pro, some 6400 reaper & Noctua cooler.w8 on 23 rd july for price drops. all reviews read on this mobo have been real good (bar few wanna run 1T, maybe next bios ?)
o/c grt & should b even better with the new 1333fsb cpu's

sold my Quad & 6600 for this board & upcoming 6750, so hoping for some good o/c when get it set up, 20 more dayssssssssss

Q6600 arrived along with a new mobo. Finally got this mutha working.

Running with a Q6600, Thermalright U-120 Extreme, 2-gig OCZ-8500. No fitting issues.

POSTed ok with a DDR2 voltage of 1.8 despite the RAM needing 2.3 (1 stick). CPU temps are idling at 33-35c Not had it over 41(uGuru) yet but not really tried. So far it hasn't missed a beat absolutely no stability issues as yet.

With regards to physical layout, the 8-pin 12v connector is in a bit of a stupid position, particularly when you have a large HSF assembly. The molex connector for PCIe power is misplaced too, you end up having to trail a PSU line across the mobo - bit of a killer if you want a tidy setup.

Used the links in the opening post for Vista drivers, no issues at all.

By default my FSB was OC'd from 266 (2.4Ghz) 272 (2.448Ghz) on the 9X chip. I'll OC over the weekend I guess and let you know how i got on.

With respect to Abit support on this one - crazy as it is but HQ in taiwan still haven't finished testing some aspects (CPU support being one) and no technical documentation has been distributed as of yet. The cost of being an early adopter!

Thanks for the heads-up on the 11 BIOS :p

Skidd.
