There are a few good maps, in fact the only one I hate is the one inside the pyramid thing were the walls are shifting all over the place.

Nightmare for the marine, its pretty much pitch black, the walls moving set the motion sensor off so its pretty useless lol. Navigating the map to get to your team-mates is difficult. Guess I'll have to get used to it.

I enjoy the larger outdoor maps though.

Any 360 players up for forming a large party and playing some games? Should bypass the rubbish matchmaking too if we get enough.

Also, when a match finishes, rather than loading a new map with the current players it just dumps you back to the lobby so you have to go through the whole process again.

overall, enjoying the fun side of the game, but, yep, this is the annoying part for me too

Picked this game up after trading in a few old games....pile of stinking dog crap in all honesty...playing on the easiest level and its hard even getting a proper shot off to kill the aliens...so far been playing as a marine but what a pile of crap this game is

Nothing remotely scary about it...the levels are stupidly dark even if the brightness of the game turned up...think ill give it another go as an alien or predator and see if its any better...if not then back it goes on monday for a trade in of something remotely better than this pile of ****.

I'm jumpy when playing these games but found the marine campaign totally predictable. I didn't find a single scary section or even jumpy. Even the ones hidden in the walls are easy to spot.

Not a patch on dead space for what a survival 'horror' should be. Dead space is basically a rework of alien without the alien name. Civilian mining ship, sos beacon blah blah blah.

Its tough with aliens though because there really isn't much variation in aliens.

Well got the marine section to do now and then finished it all sp wise anyway, Enjoyed the alien section wasnt as bad as been made out and neither were the controls found them rather easy to manage.

I find the alien controls a bit clumsy but I guess thats personal choice. I would have preferred the attacks to be on the triggers rather than the bumpers. Pulling in the LT and then a bumper always seems a bit much to me.

This landed Thursday morning instead of Friday so I was pleasantly surprised, single player is a bit short to be fair but I did have fun for the time I played it (especially enjoyed the Alien campaign). Haven't got on multiplayer as much as I would like but infestation mode is great.

Picked up the full game yesterday, not bad but the Marine campaign got boring pretty quickly - about half an hour in.

Not only that, but the save system seems a bit strange, I manually saved my progress and then gave the Predator a blast, and it's auto saved over my manual save so now I have to start again.

is there any way to find out how much more xp you need?
I have found the personal stats bit but it's very basic.
it's little things like this that need to be added.

its good online with mates but wouldnt play it on my own.
the survivor is a real let down.
I can't think of a better setup for a survivor mode. Humans versus aliens!
but its sooo unbelievably basic that its such a let down.

I was really excited about this as I loved AvP2 back at uni... based on everything I've read I think I'll give it a miss and leave AvP as a fond memory...

The thing I'm dissapointed with the most is Survival mode, what a joke.

Your missing out really. Agreed its nothing spectacular but its still a pretty well put together game and if you are a fan of the franchise then you will love it. Honest score is a 8/10 from me.
