***official amd 83x0 overclocking thread***

62 0n core is max m8 im only 51 on core

i was 67 on socket which is safe upto 70 according to amd :D

im thinking of push/pull on rad atm im only pull with gentle typhoons want to see if it has an impact will fit tomorrow and see what temps do

^^^^^ this was on prime btw on aida64 i was only 49 socket 38 core after 2 hours so temps are fine all games running smooth

my settings are:-

cpu 4.8
multi x22.5
fsb 215
cpu/nb 2200 or just under due to multiplier
ht link 2588 again because of multiplier
ram 1680MHz

voltages are:-

vcore 1.440v
cpu/nb 1.3v
dram 1.6v (just for now to rule out ram instability)

all other voltages are standard, im now going to see if i can lower voltages for 24/7 everyday oc

go for it

Man Prime, I've not heard of my friends even bothering to use it anymore simply because in real word scenario they just simply will never max out their CPU at all.

Great first attempt, boots to no monitor signal again. Did this the other day. After shutting down for a minute or 2 it came back with 'overclock failed' at BIOS. Why is it doing this? Can't be heat that quickly, power?

Gah! Done it again! All I did this time was reset to optimize, then adjust the CPU multi to 4.4ghz and put the CPU voltage to 1.45

Oh and turned the power saving functions off.

What am I doing wrong?

very nice results indeed im going for it but before i do what cooling are you using cause my socket is way over 60 already at 4.8 i have a intake on back of mobo but not helping really how do u keep your socket so cool?

or is it youer mobo is better with the heat?
