this is 4.8ghz at 24x multi which is what i reached at start of post frame rates are worse doesn't make sense

but cinebench shows 20% increase

odd results here will try with multi plus fsb next

what you guys make of the 3 different results something aint right here:confused:

The Crysis 3 benchmark isn't coming out correctly. It must not be reproducing the same things?

Do you have any games with built in benchmarks from the game menus?

You're playing for different amounts of time for a start, you need to try and remove as many variables as possible. Walk the same line for the same time sort of thing.

ok i see your point as i said i have never benchmarked before so what do u suggest i use game wise?

or program wise?

also i edited overclock again still 4.8ghz but this time i put multi to 22.5
and fsb to 215 and i got this

big difference

ok guys here is a more valid test as its on a loop for set amount of time sleeping dogs with everything maxed out with high res pack dlc at 4.8ghz will now test at 4ghz

is this a better test as its same amount of time still new to this sorry i want to make this test on overclocking 8350 as detailed and accurate as possible

we will get there lol

and yeah think i have hit sweet spot tried more multi/ less multi, more fsb/less fsb and this produced best cinebench result now to play with voltage

should i try to lower voltage of ram cpu/nb and cpu if possible?

this is 4.8ghz

this is 4ghz

now 4ghz is better i cant see that 4.8 gained nothing what so ever here guys but that what the results show and as you can see from pics ran both tests identical! whats going on

only thing i can think of is that this game is gpu based and where not seeing much difference as its not showing true cpu fps

do u guys agree here?

is battlefield 3 best way to test if so i will download tomorrow and test with that

i see loads of posts all over net on 8350 overclocking and most are not detailed or have any evidence to back up there overclock i want to post some real results for people to use in overclocking 8350 and test its true performance suggestions guys?

Yeah, if you get no real difference between two runs at different clocks then it's your GPU limiting it, not the CPU. If you can raise your GPU overclock to 1100MHz stable then you'll almost certainly see those numbers rise.

my gpu wont go over 1050 its gigabyte oc and this puppy has her lead on (voltage locked)

so thats why im selling it for another 7970 voltage unlocked so u think gpu is causing bottleneck here?

is the not a cpu based game with benchmark program we could run?

if not then this test will have to wait till new gpu is here next week not 100% on which to buy ideas has to be voltage unlocked and able to have full gpu waterblock
