*Official* Antec P182 Case's,Builds,Modifications & FAQ's

I've replaced all my fans with Yate Loons and just strapped 2 of the tri-cool fans together pointing towards the GPU's. I've got a basic fan controller on there with the Loon's on full control and the tri-cools on an "Off-5v-12v" switch. Almost silent when idle then when I start gaming I just flick the switches and I still can't hear it over the sound from the speakers :D
im interested how you strapped them towards the GPU. i just bought 2 Yate Loon fans, and was planning to do the same.

I had bought a cosmos but it wasn't right for watercooling so i've just sold it on the bay and went for one of these and that is coming tomorrow with some new wc bits.

Tie wrapped them together side-by-side using the screw holes then put them as close to the GPU's as I could and tie wrapped them to the case using the holes for the cable routing. It's not blowing outside air over them but it's still circulating air over them and then out of the case via the GPU coolers. I'll try to get some pics tomorrow when I'm not quick so smashed, just been out to celebrate my engagement :D

Just ordered one of these, and was wondering about the fans.

Does the case come with all fans present? And what is the quality of the fans like? My main concern is noise.

Thanks :)

Fans are fine on medium but if you want them quiet then replace them because the airflow on low sucks :)

I'll try them out for a week or so, and if they annoy me I'll get some replacements :)

The main reason im so concerned about noise is I often leave my PC on overnight so dont want it keeping my awake like my current one :p

where?

a picture would be great

Just finally got mine set up, and I think the least said about user friendliness the better :p (I mean how easy it is to setup, never got soo stressed fitting a PSU as I did with this one)

How come?

Did you unscrew the PSU cage and fit it over the PSU outside the case? or do u have just a monster sized non-modular PSU?

Its a Hyper Type-R Modular.

The problem was, that the fan in the middle of the bottom chamber blocked all the wires, so it just wouldnt fit in at all. Ended up having to remove the fan which took about 15mins to figure out.

Apologies for quality, it's taken on my phone. I've used the various holes above the PSU to hold it in place.

many thanks for the photo, i've been thinking about doing this, except one problem: where is the air going to come from when you close the side pannel??

There's a gap of an inch or so between the case and fans when the side is on. It's not cool fresh air but the air from the middle fan fans/wind tunnel is blowing towards it and it's dropped the temps on my GPU's by 5-10C (load) so it's doing something at least :D

took the plunge today and grabbed a P182 :)

will be posting pics of my new build!

as promised:

spec:
P182
Gigabyte P35 DS3P
E6550 @ 3.0Ghz
Corsair HX620W
AC Freezer 7
1x 37Gb Raptor Sata
1x 500Gb Samsung Sata
1x 500Gb Western Digital Sata
Samsung Sata DVDRW

temp gfx: x700pro, next week X1950Pro :D

was a pleasure to work with this case, found the sata cables for the hard drives a bit tricky, they look like they are touching the fan at the bottom, but they are not.

very pleased
