*Official* Antec P182 Case's,Builds,Modifications & FAQ's

Just got myself a P182, does the front swing to 270 degrees? Mines' doesnt seem to go any further than about 200.

If your trying to open to door so its flat with the side panel, then you need to open the door normally, then apply outwards pressure on the sort of 'vent' plastic bit that the door is attached to, it will unclip and open the whole way :)

Big thanks Shaucr91 - got it to open all the way. I didn't wanna break it that's why I didn't try - the side vent looks so fragile if you didn't know thats how it works!

I don't understand why the Lian Li PC7+ gets so many recommendations. The P182 is on another planet in terms of features and overall build quality, for only £30 more.

I am getting this case shortly. I see a few people are replacing the stock case fans with aftermarket ones. Are they noisy or something?

I'm just waiting on my CPU before I do a build with this case:

Corsair HX620W
Asus Maximus Formula X38
Intel Q9450
Thermalright Ultra 120
8GB Corsair XMS2 (why not? DDR2 is crazy-cheap )
Scythe S-FLEX 1200rpm throughout (6x)
BFG 8800 GTS 512 OC
Seagate 7200.11 500GB (2x)

Got as much fitted as I can and I'm so impressed with the P182. Will post some pictures when it's finished

Just got mine very impressed with it.
Have read the thread all the way though, but cannot remember the pages I need.
So what are the best fans for this, that offer best performance and silence.
Will I need to have a fanbus aswell.
Want to be able to switch to silence when needed, its not too bad now but I installed an old YS-Tech that I had, to blow onto my 3870x2 to keep it a little cooler, but when I watch films I have to disconect it.
I suppose I could connect a Zalman fanmate to it, but would prefer to go whole hog, with the best fans and fanbus.
Thanks for any help.
Been a great read and its a great case too, Keeps my 6300 cool running 500 FSB at 3.5ghz couldn't do that in my Lian-Li 6089, now get max load of 59c which I am more than happy with.
Was a mission to get all the wires tidy, but I have done it and it looks great, very pleased.

I went from an old P160 with an Athlon 64 / 6600GT system in to a P182 with a C2D / 8800GT in, and I'm amazed at how quiet the case is. This is with all stock fans on the case and on the C2D, my 8800GT is the Leadtek one that comes with the Zalman fan on.

Love the case, Antec have served me well in the past (excellent customer service) so they were first choice for me, not let me down :)

Hey all

Some pics of my new build with this awesome case

I tried to keep it as neat as possible and I'm quite pleased with the result, this case is very easy to work on and huge amounts of space to hide things.

As you can see there is room behind the motherboard tray to hide all the messy cables.

All the case fans and the CPU cooler fan are linked up to the Zalman MFC-1 fan controller and the Sharkoon 2000 golfballs in there shift a lot of air at below 50% on the controller.

Q6600 G0 under the lapped TRUE and 4 x 1gb Corsair 6400 under the memory cooler.

Overclocking as we speak so pop in this thread and come help me!
