*Official* Antec P182 Case's,Builds,Modifications & FAQ's

Ooooooo - didn't see that it wasn't modular! I take it that'll fit and let me have the bottom fan, and will still power a 9800 GX2??

EDIT: Hmmmm, doesn't seem to have the right connections for a 9800 GX2 - might have to go for the Tagan TG900-U88 900w BZ.

I think i prefer the Tagan anyway!
Yeah no worries, I know where your at, all these people telling you what you should and shouldn't buy!

I always saw posts from people saying how great the Corsair units were and I didn't take a ton of notice, however after buying a 1Kw ANTEC Quattro PSU that didn't work properly with an nVidia 8800GT I sent it back and grabbed the Corsair HX620W.

You won't understand what all the fuss is about until you build a PC using a Corsair PSU, the modular cable system on the HX series is second to none, the rails are solid and they are so damn quiet.

Antec P182 + Corsair HX520W/HX620W is a fantastic combo but good luck with the Tagan anyway, at least your getting an uber case! :)

Ooh, Antec actually supply replacement front I/O blocks then?

I did exactly the same, broke the front USB ports. Because I have the PC on the floor next to me, I had my pendrive in the ports. I got up once, to get a drink, and walked straight into the pendrive, breaking the port. "No biggie", I thought, and simply plugged it into the other front one. 2 days later, I'm walking to my desk, and I walk into the pendrive again :( Thus breaking the other.

could someone please tell me if a 9800gtx will fit in the p180 without removing middle hard drive cage, would measure but away for few days n defo not gona ask missus t take side off

Never really looked at this case before. I have a PC7 atm and I need more room, would moving to the P182 be a good move? I have some questions.

Can the fan speed be controlled without opening the case?
Does it have removeable motherboard tray?
Has anyone painted the inside black? It looks stunning on the SE model.
Is there still plenty of room with 5 HDD's fitted?

I had an Antec 900 before so most things I know what to expect, thought I see this has dust filters so thats good.

Thanks in advance

Nick

Yup very! although they seem to be increasing in price rapidly!

I's easily the best case I ever used (and I used a lot), not a huge fan of the door although it does look quite cool with it closed but I pretty much have the door wrapped-around-open most of the time.

Even now on a nice sunny day my system temps have risen to just 26°C which is great considering how quiet it is. I also am just testing running the TRUE with no fan attached (passive kinda!) but the airflow is still good from the two upper 120mm fans (which can be controlled from the cases rear).

:) Thanks, I have a TRUE on the way.

Another quick one, is there room behind the door for XFi panel and a sunbeam fan control, needs about 10 - 12mm clearance.

Thanks

Edit - I googled and found the answer. I have ordered one :)
