OH MY GOD. This is the hardest game I have ever played in terms of controls. I feel a little bit retarded trying to play it right now....can barely complete training things.

Is a joystick required for the chopper/planes?

Gonna wait till I get an upgrade to play this, otherwise I won't enjoy it as much. Just played 2 hours and got rather frustrated.

That's never happened.. the only time a significant amount of people have died in my chopper is when you slice and diced them with your UH60 rotors!

No and No. But its just preference. I cba to switch controls and am much better with M&KB for all my flying.

One thing that is rly ****ing me off now is the random quits to desktop / stop responding. Three times now I have been hosting missions with mates, getting rly into it, only for my game to terminate. Am on vista64 but running in xp comp with -winxp command. Very frustrating.

never crashed yet and tahts in over 40+ hours played on MP

I've also never crashed....yet. Had a go on the OcUK server last night very briefly but it was too laggy despite my ping being around 40 when I connected. There was talk of the server being restarted but I didn't manage to log back in later as I was too busy playing with the editor

I had 2 crashes last night.

Only ever happend while on a certain server though.

And on another server i got disconected 3 times.

Then i found a good one :cool:

Then i had to get off and help with tea

lag was server based, was cleared up after restart

Glad it was cleared, something strange about watching an a-10 flying on its canopy up a street.

Enjoyed the later game last night, specially my side mission wandering, was fun

would you say it's worth getting?
and would i and a couple of friends be welcome on the OCUK server if i can convince them to get it?

It is indeed arma 2.

I would say I am in the minority that just doesn't enjoy it.

Let me know if you want it cheap Drew, my friend and I are selling our copies that we opened yesterday (email in trust).

I'd recommend getting the demo if your not too sure about it. It's certainly not like COD4; It's a lot slower than the normal FPS.

thing i disliked about cod 4 is that it was too fast, well atleast that people moved too fast, so thats tempting.

I found this game hard to get in to as well. I bought it on release day. played it all over the weekend and then gave up. To be honest I didnt really have a clue what was going on half the time or where the enemy was. me and my mate just drove around in a tank being very confused. It wasn't quite the game I was hoping for.

I know it's a sim, but still....
