*******Official Armed Assault 2 thread of official officialness*******

That'll help with all units knowing immediately where you are.

There is that and another bug that will probably make the AI a lot more pleasant to play with... atm if you injure someone in a squad, they will be reporting to the second intel on where you are / what weapon you have / you stance / direction etc until they're dead. Couple of other bad ones but between those two the AI's god like perception should be at an end.

How do you change you name with out creating a new profile?

Secondly why the hell dont multiplayer games have grass in them even when my settings are turned up full?

Anyone tell me why on the demo the text is aligned off the left of my screen, tried various resolutions still same problem.

Got a new HDD turning up tmrow, any recommendations on what OS to go for to benefit Arma II? I can't find any straight answers on which would be best anywhere.

The choices are Windows XP Pro, Vista 32bit or 7.

XP is the safest bet, with Win 7 closest if you want something new.

Im using Win 7 64bit and its great.

As for profile name, there is an option on the top menu to manage profiles. You need to make a new one or edit your CFG in your user docs and settings folder.

Picked this up yesterday from an online key place for $12.99, billy bargain.

Only problem is i dont have any instructions, is it better to download these and go through them, play the single player or is it easy enough just to jump into multiplayer?

Worst...idea...ever...

Play the single player a bit to get to grips with the context menus. Then jump on the OcUK server and prepare to ask questions.
