I was very close to buying this game but i dont know if its worth it given my system specs.

just booted my trackir 4 up with this, and wow thats a strange feeling, will take me a while to get used to using it in a fps rather than my flight sims.

with "normal" graphics @ 1900x120 I get about 30fps with my 8800GTX overclocked ... ouch !

dropping down a res seemed to have no real impact

I'd just go for it anyway, I've got a similar sort of spec only I've got a e6300 at 2.8GHz and a 4870 1GB. I'm picking it up after work and although I'm not expecting to run it at max, it should still be playable just about.

That will be fine if you drop the view distance and lower a few options.

And does it look pretty good at normal? I have a 8800gtx unclocked and a q6600, with 2 gig of ram. Gone are the days where I can justify buying a new card for a new game.

What kind of fps are you all getting with maxed settings 1920x1200? Would it be playable with 2x4890's? I saw some reviews saying NO machine can max it at the moment, I am sceptical however

it does look very good yes

almost Crysis esque ..

BUT 30fps doesn't feel smooth to me

just going to try W7- as people reckon it runs smoother will report back

Problem is I wont buy it until I tried it... which means pirating it, and that wont be for weeks given that it uses secrom

.

Then again the screenshots look amazing and I was a huge fan of the original operation flashpoint (spending 24 hours on it sometime). Reckon it's worth the plunge?

If will look stunning and run smooth with 2x4890

I have a 4870x2 and it runs great
