*** Official Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Thread ***

Really looking forward to this one. Now I just have to wait and see who despatches my copy first: Amazon or Tesco. The Amazon order is at £36.99 and the Tesco order is at £24.99, but if Amazon despatches first (I have Prime) then I'll be cancelling the Tesco order. I'd rather have it for release day than have to wait a few days just to save a bit of cash. Especially since my better half is now going to be out on Saturday all-day :) Bring on the BC2 gameage!

I got Saturday booked off from the missus and little one as well. :D

Just had a mail saying "Your order is on it's way" so all being well that'll drop on the mat tomorrow ... WAHOO :D

Stu

Quite a few people had that email from GAME yesterday so I dont know what they're up too. They may be doing what they did with MW2 and getting someone like parcel force to sit on them. Hopefully not though.

So what's everyone doing on their first boot up? MP or SP? I normally go through the whole of SP then on to MP but I'm thinking about getting stuck in to MP straight away. oops said MP too many times MP MPM MPPMPMPMPMPMPMPMPMPM>>>>>>>>>>>>>...

Well I had the same email for Heavy Rain which arrived the following day so fingers crossed.

Stu

Yeah that's usually par for the course what I meant was that people got that email yesterday but no game today. If they did get dispatched yesterday as the email said then some lucky few would have had theirs....but no one seems to.:(

Still 1-2weeks from Tesco for me too.

Hopefully tonight or tomorrow it will just suddenly change. Won't be too peeved if i don't get it on release day, but still even though I got it at £24.99, they should still deal with it the same way other retailers do and get it to the customer for the official release.

I guess you could always just purchase it in store at tesco on launch day if it hasn't come, then take back the sealed one they send you for a refund. You get the game on time and get the saving.

In its short existence, 2010 has seen a procession of great releases on an almost weekly basis thus far, and Battlefield finds itself in good company. If you've been looking for a shooter good enough to supplant Modern Warfare 2 as your multiplayer game of choice on Xbox Live, you've found it. And with its strong, team-focused gameplay and an ambitious scale, DICE should be commended for working so hard to make single player feel like much more than an afterthought. Bad Company 2 is the best FPS I've played in longer than I can remember. While the presentation could be stronger in spots and DICE hasn't quite gotten the hang of checkpointing systems outside of the PC space, I don't see myself shutting up about how good Bad Company 2 is for quite some time.

I'm beginning to feel that this is all very bad news for me, I have a study day on Friday and an exam on Monday.
Being realistic, I think I'm going to have to factor in some BFBC2 time on my study timetable, I'll deffo stick to SP too until after my exam.
Online BF MP = Gamercrack.

There's a tech comparison on Eurogamer, looks like the PS3 version edges it, but in truth it's a rock solid game on both systems.
I like it when that happens, it stops fanboys hijacking threads.

It's also worth mentioning that they say the console versions square up to the PC version amazingly well.

Yeah they look the same to me

The deadzone on the analog sticks for the 360 has been made smaller on the retail game for the 360 = yay.

It never bother me too much but I knew it was there.

Remember that the LE is just 6 unlocks for MP. All of which can be obtained through normal play and none of which will really have any effect on your enjoyment of MP. Think its about 10 hours MP play for that specific stuff.

Currently some retailers are saying there's a standard version and an LE. Word from Dice is that all current stock is LE. Guess we'll wait and see.
